Hey Jeff, how's it going mi amigo?

I was in Albuquerque yesterday and picked up Demolition Man, Cobra, Assassins, The Specialist, Executive Decision, and The 6th Day. Watched Demolition Man and they did a pretty decent job with the PQ. Sound wasn't too bad, but just didn't have the oomph of newer action movies. But it was fun to see it on Blu.:)

Nice score on the blu's! Walmart was selling the Stallone's for $9 each. The catch is trying to find a Walmart that had them. I wanted Cobra but alas, my local Walmart had none. Everytime I go in there the BD selection looks slimmer. Looking forward to your thoughts on it.

Did you read the Review on COBRA? Not so good, but then again, I wouldn't expect much (PQ/AQ wise) from that older title. Just 3.5/5 on both accounts.

Albuquerque was fun.:) Went and saw a lot of stuff. But unfortunately no I didn't get a green chili cheeseburger. The best ones I've tried are in Santa Fe at the Bobcat Bite. But the next time I'm up in Santa Fe I'm definitely getting me one!:)

Wow $9 at Walmart for the Stallone Blu-ray's! That's a great deal!! I got 'em at Best Buy, I don't remember how much they were. I think $14.99. If I had only looked at Walmart. Oh well.

I saw Cobra last night, and it was fun. The PQ wasn't too bad, some parts had some noticeable grain and looked a bit soft, but most of the film actually looked pretty good and looked HD. Sound was decent for the age of the film, but it would have been nice if the LFE had been punchier. Some directional effects were good and dialog was easy to hear. I'd say for $10 this is a classic Stallone movie that's worth buying.

Rise of Planet of the Apes was awesome - and I'm not even a big fan of the originals...:rock:

I agree, Apes is one of the better movies of the year!
