Morning Wabo,

Long time no type! How are ya?

The "most interesting man in the world" commercials crack me up. That would be a good Halloween costume....

Mornin', phansson.

How's it going?

Yeah, those commercials are great. I like the Geico ones too. "Hey you woodchucks. Stop chucking my wood!":D

Any big plans for the Easter weekend? I finally got around to watching The Town last night.

No big plans, just Easter with the kids....It will be nice to just get some rest.

The geico commercials are pretty good. I hat the "Flo" progressive commercials though. They annoy me at work all day long!

What did you think about "the town". I really enjoyed it.

Hey Wabo TGIF and Have a Hoppity Hop Easter Sunday. :naughty: :naughty: :naughty:

To answer you last question about jury duty, my employer is required to pay me since it is a law in GA. He first told me I would have to take PT like they have to in CA but after alot of the folks in the front office told me that they got paid I did the research. Luckly it was only for 2 days but I decided to stretch out the week and took off today to work in the yard after all the storms we been having. Just clean up no damage PHEW.

So did you enjoy "The Town"? We did when we watched it.

hometheatergeek 04-22-2011 04:54 PM

BTW This month's Widescreen Review has a review of the OPPO 93.  I am so tempted to hit "Add to Cart". Sort of wish my present player would develop a cold or something. hehe

Good evening, phansson.

A pretty relaxing Easter here too. We'll all head over to grandma & grandpa's for an Easter brunch..

I agree. I can't stand that damn Flo either. Someone needs to just run her over. Then back up and run her over again.:D

I enjoyed The Town. The acting was top notch and I was pleasantly surprised at the AQ. Some real nice LFE.

Well, it's good to know you will be taken care of while on jury duty.:relief: Plus, you got yo' self a few extra days off too. Did you sustain any structural damage from the storms? Any downed trees?

I liked The Town. Great acting, story and soundtrack.

By lemon you mean lime? I've had lemon in mine when the bar was out of lime. I do agree if you mean no lime at all, that's how I like mine.

ldgibson76 04-24-2011 01:46 AM

Hello Jeff.

Check out this blu-ray(s) purchase at BBY:

Monster's, Inc. BD/DVD Combo, Reg. $29.99, price matched Amazon's $23.49, applied $10 RZ coupon,... final total: $13.49

Kung Fu Panda BD/DVD Combo Reg. $29.99, On Sale at BBY for $14.99, price match Amazon's $12.99, applied $10 RZ coupon,... $2.99

Shrek Forver After BD/DVD Combo, Reg, $34.99:rolleyes:, On Sale $12.99

Total: $29.47 Not bad for animation hits!

BTW, how are ya? My system is still out of sorts. Integrating the switcher has been somewhat difficult but I'm progressing. I hoping to score on a Denon DVD-3930CI this coming week. I'm also keeping a close eye on several 5 channel amps to either replace the Marantz altogether or add a strong 3 channel model (Parasound or Rotel) and let the Marantz handle the surround array. I'm not sure what will be best in my configuration.

You missed my threads conversation. I guess Europeans use lemon in Corona which to me is nonsense hence the "lemon nonsense.". However I've had them put lemon in if bar runs out of lime.

Excellent Score Lawrence!!:whip:  You seen MONSTERS, INC. yet? Excellent PQ/AQ, same for KUNG FU PANDA (haven't seen the Shrek movies, so no idea, but I'm sure they're fine also).

Btw - The whole SHREK series, Shrek: The Whole Story:
[Show spoiler](Shrek / Shrek 2 / Shrek the Third / Shrek Forever After + Donkey’s Christmas Shrektacular)
is just $40.49/Amazon!! (&, with 7.1 Dolby TRUE-HD on all of them!! :yikes: :jawdrop:    :giggle: )

Might have to Jump on that Green Ogre soon!!

Hello Aero.

Thanks for the acknowledgement. You know buddy, I try my very best to buy catalog BD's for as close to the $10.00 mark as possible. Especially when I already have the movie in standard format. I'm up to 150 movies with an average cost of $11.49. Now I must qualify that with admitting that coupons play a very big role in my ability to keep my average cost down. Timing is also crucial. The coupons have to available at same time a big price reduction is in play. The most I've spent on a single BD is $34.00 for the Canadian steel book "Gladiator". I definitely try to keep the over $20.00 purchases to a minimum.

As far as the series movies are concerned, I'm waiting for the pricing to drop for each movie to $9.99 like the Harry Potter series.

The Die Hard Series (I have LFDH)
The Fast and the Furious Quadrilogy (I have the 4th one)
The POTC Trilogy + the newest upcoming release
The Bourne Trilogy
The Blade Trilogy
Spiderman Trilogy (I have Spidey 3)
The Matrix Trilogy
LOTR's Extended
Star Trek OS 1-6
Star Trek Next Gen. 7-10 (I have 1st Contact and ST 2009)
Star Wars (Pre-Ordered)
Toy Story 1 and 2
and of course, Shrek 1, 2 and 3.:D

That list alone is a lot of $$$$$$! So patience is a virtue. I believe they will all be obtainable for $9.99 at some point or another.;)

BTW, your collection is phenomenal!

Hi Lawrence.

Excellent score on the blu's! Although with your system down, you ain't watching 'em.:p

I love Monsters Inc. and Kung Fu Panda is one of my faves too. When my kids don't listen they get the Wushi finger hold. Skidoosh!:D

We recently watched Shrek Forever After. That and the first one are my favorites of the series. Good to see you supporting the combo packs.;)

Looks like you have a lot on your HT plate. Good luck on your amp quest, amigo.

That's a great list. And yes, patience is a virtue. However, by the time Star Wars hits $9.99, blu-ray will no longer exist and we'll be getting movies implanted directly into our cerebral cortex.;)

Hey Buddy - Here you go. The Fast/Furious movies, per THIS Thread, are $8.99 @ "TARGET". --- Also, like you, I Pre-Ordered the STAR WARS (Complete Saga!) & the LOTR Ext. Trilogy a few weeks ago at Barnes & Noble
But, was able to Pre-Order BOTH with seperate 50% OFF Coupons, so EACH Set came to UNDER $48!! (SW: $47.93, LOTR: $44.53):whip:  :D

But, like you, I "try" to buy BD's for as little as possible (usually anything $12 & Under is good) - Like with the recent (re-) release of CARS (with Movie Cash for "CARS 2") & THE INCREDIBLES at Best Buy, after their $10 off for buying both & each one having Disney MFG Coups', my TOTAL for both was only $24.78 (After taxes!). So a bit over $12 for 2 excellent sets was a tremendous deal. Btw - in My thread, I did a review of "THE INCREDIBLES" yesterday.
Long story (review) short, My Final Numbers: Movie: 5 of 5, Video: 5 of 5, Audio: 10 of 10 !!!!:whip:  :jawdrop: (Trust me: It has one of the most Well-Rounded & Impeccably Detailed Incredible Audio tracks EVER. Be it Animation, Live-ACTION, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Western, doesn't matter. Yes, it Is THAT GOOD. Trust me).:D

Good morning, Mike.

How was your Monday?

As well as it could be considering the circumstances. I dont think you heard since I only posted once or twice, but my Grandmother had a hemorrhagic stroke and has an active bleed in her brain on Easter Morning. Today, they put her on Morphine to ease her pain and her body is shutting down. all we can do is wait.
