I just saw "The Girl Who Played With Fire" today. I'd say it was good. You learn more about Lisbeth, which is pretty interesting. I did like how in "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo" she's almost a complete mystery. But it's the natural progression, I'd find it odd if she remained that way for all 3.
Speaking of which, the girl at the theater said the 3rd was coming out in the fall, October-ish.
If you want to see The Girl Who Played With Fire and live near Dedham, MA I'd suggest Dedham Community Theatre. It was the best experience I've had. Not because of the quality, I don't think they even had surround speakers, and the screen wasn't perfect. But because it was full of old people, and old people are silent. No annoying kids texting, chatting, yelling at the screen. There was only 3 people under 40 (plus me).

Not always the case my friend. I've had to tell 70 and 80 year old couples to be quiet many, many times.
Once was during the first 15 minutes of There Will Be Blood.
Wife: "This music makes it seem like something bad is gonna happen."
Husband: "uh-huh"
Wife: "What's he digging for?"
Husband: "Gold? I think he's digging for Gold."
Just then the movie reveals the bubbling crude coming from the bottom of the well.
Me: "The movie has all your answers if you're willing to wait for them."
