Can someone provide a rundown on where you can pre-order, their price, and any special offers you get for preordering.

That would be very useful information for most of us.

I wish I could help but I will be buying mine locally probably from Target or Hastings or wherever I find it first. On a release like this the hunt is half the fun getting it in the mail is just not the same.

Do you think, that with the "new" mix for A New Hope, we will be able to hear Luke's line in the cantina scene when he asks for a drink? "Can I get one of those?" -- if you turn on the subtitles is there, but you can barely hear it.

Another scene that comes to my mind is when Darth Vader is choking the admiral or general ( The "I find your lack of faith disturbing" scene) I remember than in one version of the movie you could distinctively hear the man's neck starting to break and Ben Burtt even mentions that he was crushing a celery with his hands to make that sound, maybe that sound will be more prominent again D: ?

Are you sure Burtt wasn't describing the scene with Captain Antilles and not Admiral Motti? It's clear Motti survives the encounter more or less embarrassed (and gasping for air), not physically harmed.

In the death star video on the star wars youtube channel. Their have been some that are complaining about the audio that video that it is popping and clipping. it's just youtube compression of the audio doing that it won't be like that when the final blu-rays come out on September 16th. So relax.

On the Episode IV commentary, Burtt is describing the celery sound as Motti is being choked.

I'm kinda surprised the ANH running time hasn't changed. I really expected a scene with Palpatine added to ANH.

I always thought they'd add a scene where we see Palpatine and Stormtroopers "Dissolving The Senate".

Especially since there was talk of additional scenes for the OT being filmed during filming of the Prequels. Would have been cool.

Would have been were they could have used the Imperial March theme also. Oh well, maybe we'll get it for the next release.

Figures. I haven't listened to the commentary in probably 5 years!

Been getting my SW fix for the last few years from archived satellite HD captures (MPEG4 video, DD 5.1 audio). Be nice to delete them once and for all when the BDs come out!

Yeah, but there was talk of more than just that. And also plans to add The Imperial March to ANH.

Which I hope happened for the Blu-Ray release regardless. I'm guessing for Vader's Entrance to the Tantive IV.

Thanks nmycon, that's where I heard it. I couldn't quite remember where I had read/heard it. Yes, is when Motti is being choked. If you turn down the bass, turn up the treble and pump up the volume you can hear it hahaha. But maybe that's why it was decided to lower the volume of that sound fx, because Motti doesn't get physically harmed.

I love that whole scene btw, is one of my favorites in the whole saga.

Was that scene you mentioned ever filmed? That would have been awesome!

So they were filming whole new scenes for the OT at the same time as they were filming the PT? I never knew that!

Man this is going to be great!

Oh yes it does, I think it would be great to have it playing in the opening scene!

Why not? The Empire exists. And both Lucas and Williams have talked about adding it to the film. I expect it will be in.

Someone did some interesting playing around with adding it to certain scenes. And having it played quietly in the background of the Saber battle.

i think williams' music is perfect in anh and don't see why the imperial march should be added. but if they feel it should be in the movie, so be it. i just don't see the necessity.

Well, it's in every film except A New Hope. I think they just want to go for that whole "Tone Poem" motiff Lucas loves.

I think the "Imperial theme" in ANH works just fine. No need to replace music, but I wouldn't be surprised if this change is made.

This is a terrible idea.

I actually wouldn't mind if they put in a little reprise of Battle of the Heroes (very subtly, possibly performed slower) during Obi-Wan and Vader's duel in A New Hope to be honest....
