I believe someone on this site said that it's because Friday releases get placed in the Sunday ad the week of and after

To Tie-In to the debut of Season 4 of Clone Wars on Cartoon Network that evening. :)

They do that sometimes. How To Train Your Dragon was released on a Friday too.

I prefer Tuesday actually, when it usually reaches me on Thursday just in time for the weekend. To look on it from a positive side, it could be released the next Tuesday, September 20th. Can you wait 4 more days? I can't! :p

PS: This thread been working out, it's getting thinner. We need to put it into a more healthy diet. No more junk food please.

Need to place an order soon. Wasn't going to. But from reading some of the early reviews, I now have to get it.....

It appears that the windows showing the outside world are STILL missing. The ones that our heroes had just walked by a few seconds ago.

That was one fix that I was sure that they were going to correct for this set.

.

Perhaps in that particular scene, adding the CGI background would prove to be more distracting? I don't know, but it doesn't bother me. As someone said, maybe it's really just some other location.

Unfortunately, all the strips were produced for this giveaway, and are identical. Unlike the Phantom Menace VHS set, where the film strip came from an actual theatrical print, so there would have been around 37 000 unique strips.

I have the entire last reel of ROTJ.... what is that worth????:D:D:D

$4.29

phansson 08-27-2011 04:51 AM

But it could be scanned and have Sebastian Shaw instead of Hayden, that would make a couple of people happy!

Isn't that always been how it goes? But still the past releases have been on Tuesdays.

I'll be honest: I find the clarity of Harrison Ford's guyliner to be much more distracting. And this isn't even in 1080.:ohnoes:

Someone did some interesting playing around with adding it to certain scenes. And having it played quietly in the background of the Saber battle.

I love it!! It gives the hole fight scene a powerful feeling that imo it never had before. Also when we first see Vader for the first time it’s a much better introduction.

So glad I'm in this forum with you guys, you'll learn new thing every day (if you can get through all the bickerings). I'm sure we'll notice a lot more on the blu-rays, both picture and sound, can't wait!

Now that the saga is on blu-ray, you'll be able to see what brand of ice cream maker it was and hunt one down on eBay and then they can close the thread, on OT.com, about those arguing which brand he was carrying. Isn't technology great :p.

Petyr_Baelish 08-27-2011 08:04 AM

Hey everyone I'm back. I dont exactly know why i was gone, but whatevs. Tell me what I missed.

Huh? They're arguing about that, really? :ohnoes: I think they might be able to see if the kitchen sink in Sith is from IKEA, but I guess they're not buying the PT or the complete saga blu-rays, so we won't know. :p

Han now asks Greedo to go home and rethink his life, so he did. Everbody is happy now.

:p Nah you didn't miss anything. Just more bickerings and an ice cream maker. Not to mention kenkraly2004 is still excited for September 16th. :)

The pink sabres and blue snow should be a thing of the past judging by all of the commentary regarding quality control, ILM fixes, colour change, over 4 years of work on the new transfer and the overwhelmingly positive commentary from the preview reviews. They all to a man have said the problems that plauged the '04 DVD release have gone.

I am quietly confident we will be amazed at this release. Still miffed about greedo though, that SHOULD have been corrected back to the original.

It troubles me that we haven't seen any actual Blu-ray shots. They are releasing all of this footage and pictures, and claiming it's not the actual product that we will get. Why use images from an inferior product to sell a superior one? I am not trying to be a doomsayer here, what I am doing is preparing myself for disappointment while hoping for satisfaction. Optimistic pessimism.

I agree, it doesn't make sense at all this close to release date to be using old footage to sell a new product. Who and why would somebody do that?
