are you serious? ok answered for 1000th time :p : The bonus features discs are ONLY in the full saga collection. They are not included with the separate trilogy sets. the packaging is like the Alien set - cardboard book-style. look at almost any page of this thread for pics.

The Following Post is Not AT ALL Serious!

Just watched the remastered and re-edited Star Wars Dog-Fight battle between Luke, Han, Chewie and those rascally Tie-Fighters...

Cannot wait to see this in HD!

As mentioned by cinemaphile, you only get the movie discs, the 3 bonus discs only exclusive to the complete saga. Here's the only pic we have for the separate trilogies:

A standard case with slipbox.

Sorry you took some flak for asking this question for the 1000th time. The problem isn't you, it's that this thread is too long and cumbersome to be practical, and too generalist to be of use to you (or me). Your question and answer would easily have been found on the SW Bonus Features thread that I started this past weekend. Unfortunately a moderator deleted it and merged its contents with this soupy thread, only to be lost in the mix

Is the UK version the same?

We won't have this problem if every info is updated into the first post. But the thread starter doesn't seem to be active anymore. I always try to update the first post in all my threads but only him and the mods can do it here.

I would say yes.

Yeah, I can't wait to experience the magic of TPM on BD! It's been such a long time, and the movie is simply unwatchable on DVD.

This will be even better than what we saw in the cinema over 11 years ago.
I wonder if they updated the Gungan/Droid battle at the end??
Now, they could make it pitch perfect.

The humdinger glitch was found by someone at OT.com, they have fixed it. Would they have if it wasn't pointed out?

Hoth was blue, vaders sabre was pink, yoda was glow in the dark green because of abysmal colour timing errors on the '04 transfer. Thanks to these guys, they have gone in to amend it. Hopefully we will be getting a product much closer to the original product with all of the, in some cases, unwanted amendments.

This thread was useful for news when I first visited and thats why I came here. It has now become a haven for endless debates about low quality images and videos that no-one knows if they even represent the finished product. PT vs OT, who cares, its Star Wars. All the moaning in the world is not going to change things, the discs are printed and probably about to be sent to retailers. At this point all we can do is hope. I for one am optimistic, only because this will be my last Star wars movie purchase.

That is true. We certainly have to raise our voices when sth. is wrong, but either extreme should be avoided, and that is not often the case here.

I prefer Ken or Martin. But FOX titles are usually reviewed by Casey Broadwater. He's usually tough on all aspects. I'm only looking forward to the technical aspects (PQ/AQ, extras, packaging, etc). Gonna skip the movie part, I don't wanna know anything about the changes to the movies as I would like to discover them myself.

Me too. I really want to be surprised.

Why doesn't the administrator put all the KNOWN information, such as number of discs contained, general content thereof, artwork etc., and perhaps links to the preview articles and trailers on the FIRST PAGE???

It would make many people's lives easier.

Is it THAT hard?

A few of us have said that before, so that this thread actually has some reference as to the blu-ray release.

Like Bluyoda said, important info such as the two main releases (US and UK), different packaging, what each of the three releases includes, prices, region codes, extras...stuff that this thread should be for.

skyofcrack 08-29-2011 03:20 PM

I like this version better. No doubt fan-created though:

Where's a laptop when you need one? :)

I'm on my phone for the rest of the week as I'm on vacation, I'll write something for you when I'm back this weekend.

Meanwhile, if you have time you can update the info on all 3 boxsets, technical specs, region free, pricing, the pics that we have (above, the artwork on the complete saga book, etc), the special features list, deleted scenes, etc.

Also info about the movies (no OUT, 2011 edition with more changes i.e. CGI Yoda), fixes done, screenshots, videos, links to preview reports (The Digital Bits, The HD Room, Home Theater Forum, etc).

longhornsgirl 08-29-2011 03:22 PM

Just picked up a pre order at Best Buy. The good news is that I'm getting Star Wars in Bluray with all of the bonus features. The bad news is that the set still contains The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.

skyofcrack 08-29-2011 03:25 PM

How about this idea for cool packaging?

killermike2178 08-29-2011 03:42 PM

Since we have to wait for the actual review of this, I'm just going to speculate what Casey Broadwater might give this thing:

3.5 for the movie - 2 for TPM, 1.5 for AOTC, 3.5 for ROTS, 5 for ANH, 5 for ESB, and 4.5 for ROTJ.
4.5-5 for the video, should be the same for all 6 movies.
5 for audio - Star Wars in DTS-HD MA 6.1, how could they go wrong?
4-4.5 for the special features, since some special features from the DVD releases are missing.
4.5 overall.

I love this one! Almost perfect and very simple...

And as for the R2-R2 one, it would be a great idea for a Blu-ray player!

Honestly. Prequels are better then Transformers or Fast Five or many other modern "movies"
