Don't believe it then, but I am highly knowledgeable and familiar with the scene, CHD is a legit group and has never put out a fake or mislabeled release. They are from the Blu, undoubtedly. Give it a day or so to make it over here and there will be shots from the fixed sections.

Well, if these blu-ray aren't out yet, how can they prove they are real or fake?

Petyr_Baelish 08-29-2011 11:34 PM

It would have been cool if this blu ray had a maximum movie mode.

Oh, that would have been awesome! I love those Maximum Movie Mode films.

Hell, it even greatly improves mediocre films like Cop Out and the latest Sherlock Holmes.

Every Blu gets leaked early. Some sooner than others.

Of course they are 720p, and likely compressed. They should only be used as a base to judge color/general quality. I can understand everyone's skepticism, it's reasonable.

The original screenplay explains it better:

OWEN: You must understand I need you here, Luke.
LUKE: But it's a whole 'nother year.
OWEN: Look, it's only one more season.
Luke pushes his half-eaten plate of food aside and stands.
LUKE: Yeah, that's what you said last year when Biggs and Tank left.
AUNT BERU: Where are you going?
LUKE: Mind your own business! I wish you two were dead!

Double Homicide on Tatooine

Tatooine: Armpit of the galaxy.

TATOOINE (Galactic Press) -- Residents of the remote Outer Rim desert world Tatooine were stunned today by news of a double homicide in the quiet moisture-farming community south of Anchorhead.

Imperial police reported that Owen Lars, 57, and wife Beru, 55, were found dead this afternoon in the burned wreckage of their farming homestead on County Road 32. Foul play is suspected, although investigators did not elaborate. The family's land speeder and two 'droids were noted missing by farm hands following the incident.

Luke Skywalker, 18, nephew of the two victims, is being sought by the troopers for questioning. Previously the youth has been fined for hunting womp rats out of season, and an outstanding warrant is on file for numerous speeding violations in Anchorage.

"We're all just shocked here," said Deak Groundlubber, part-time mechanic at Fixer's Garage in Toshe Station, known to be frequented by Skywalker. "He was supposed to pick up some power converters today and never showed up. Then we heard on the news his house was torched. I mean, he's strange kid and all, definitely a little off, but none of us ever suspected anything like this."

Skywalker was last seen in the Mos Eisley vicinity in the company of notorious drug runner Han Solo.

HAH! Awesome Duffy12! I remember that.

I forget where that's from. Was that on that old StarWars.Com "News From The Holonet" website originally?

nmycon 08-29-2011 11:50 PM

Picked up Star Wars Insider today, hoped it would have something about the blu-ray release... just a full-page ad saying to pick up the September/October issue for blu-ray news

It's an awesome magazine! At least this issue was. I'll have to subscribe!

Yup. That's the old issue. Unless you're interested in the Clone Wars...it's really not interesting anymore. I've been a member of the "fan club" since it started and have every issue. You don't ever get any real "news" from it.

georgec 08-29-2011 11:55 PM

I highly doubt those "leaked rips" are from the blu-rays. Somebody is toying with SW fans.

frogmort 08-29-2011 11:58 PM

I just looked at that MF.com, and they are listed as:
eIV: 6.5G
eV: 5.5G
eVI: 6.5G

Why would they be that tiny?

Edit: I have no interest in them, since I already have the DVDs, and will have the Complete Saga in two and a half weeks, just wondering why they would be so small if they are from the BDs.

I saw "Star Wars Clone Wars Insider" as well... but the ones I picked up (Star Wars Insider) has absolutely nothing about the Clone Wars animated series at all...

Features about the Radio Drama, the Star Tours ride at disney, Anthony Daniels, etc.

Maybe this is just an off issue with no Clone Wars whatsoever

Fun Fact: "Over 60% of A New Hope was shot on film stock that was prone to fading and was discontinued by the early 1980s" :p

Because rips are always tiny? Also these are nor 1080p, only 720p.

And I don't believe they're really BDrips.

mkv 720p blu ray rips average between 4.3-7 gigs on average for just about any movie. 1080p's are usually 7-12 gigs

I don't remember where it came from as it's been a while since I found it and saved it to one of my SW folders.

Lets change the subject please, It is starting to cross that line....

starwarsfan8813 08-30-2011 12:31 AM

What is it you guys are wanting most out of the blu-ray boxset?

For me its mainly just see to the entire saga in blu-ray but i'm also intersted in some of the special features like the at-at that was shown earlier. Obviously i want to see what deleted scenes are included too.

I heard their supose to have new commentary tracks too which could be interesting as well.

Yeah, the New Commentary tracks should be interesting. Since they're drawn from Archival Recordings. Should be fun.
The ones that Disney have done like that have been pretty interesting. And given the Lucasfilm Archives, they should have plenty of material to draw from.

Personally I just want to finally be able to watch all 6 films in 1080p with lossless audio!

The next thing I want to see are the deleted scenes. Nothing else really intrests me, although I will watch every extra!

The commentry tracks will be done exactly the same way as the tracks for the older bond films. They will take audio clips from various interviews and just paste them into the relivent scene of the film.
