It seems that the only leak was the 3 disc Original Trilogy set.

I never said he should be compared to Hitler. That's going too far. Perhaps I missed something in the 30 pages I skimmed this morning?

Yes, many of the people who have downloaded the leak have posted screenshots. A lot have been posted here.

"Reputation"? You mean that it's populated by sycophantic revisionists who put North Korea's state media to shame?

You can clearly tell that when R2 is out of the cave (bottom pic), the rocks above his left leg are CGI.

Don't think they are CGI in the scenes when he's out of there as they are in the previous version.

People say it's in the blu-ray rips which also show a lot of new changes that are unlikely to be the work of pranksters. Though it would be a hell of a prank

There have been much better pranks.

No one. and I mean NO...............ONE..... (beyond people who post here as a part of their job)

Has any room to tell anyone else to get a life.
as Obi might say "Who has less a life, the Lucas-Hater or the Lucas-Hater-Hater?"

dvdmike 08-31-2011 06:42 PM

Right, so a prankster went in, changed the stuff, reframed slightly on the master, added fake lowry looking grain and let them out for fun???

If someone with that amount of time or skill attacked the trilogy they would be taking stuff away, not adding stuff.

Well actually all his kids are adopted. Not that it changes anything, just saying.

When the official reviews come in, these "additions" are going to be first on their hit parade.

Like I said, the silence from Vader worked for nearly three decades. Lucas decided to mess with something, that took three seconds, and people are directing their ire at him due to this.

This is progressively getting worse than the "Choral Problem" from the Conan Blu, and when you have a fanbase that is significantly larger than Coman, complaining about something that is just three seconds long, you obviously did something royally wrong.

Hopefully Lucas will correct this action for the 3D release of this in, at the way he's going about the 3D conversions, in six years, so I wouldn't hold my breath on this one.

My biggest problem despite these awful changes is still taking away Boba's awesome voice and replacing it with that New Zealand accent.

IndyMLVC 08-31-2011 06:47 PM

Another pointless change:

I have the ANH rip and can confirm the changes. Sorry for the poor quality and lighting.

Dude, you don't have to look through a thousand pages... You just have to go back 5 - 10 pages tops and they have been posted and reposted multiple times more than twice by myself. I'm not posting them again.

If thats too much work then you could pop in the UK thread they're all in there a couple pages from the end, it's a much smaller thread so you should find them easy.

Time to move on people. No need for debate anymore.

Thank Episode II for that. Lucas is obsessed with linking every last thing in the prequels to the originals. Like it's inconceivable that Boba would lose the accent over the course of 25 years bouncing around the galaxy.
