Thankfully I have zero interest in these films. But I think it is wrong that he will not keep these films intact and as fans remember them.

It's like Star Wars fans are looking for and in this instance fabricating reasons to ***** and moan about Star Wars.

It's actually based on the recent leaks of the Blu-rays that many have gotten their hands on and actually watched. And from them, the persons who've also brought to light the changes, also brought to light the lack of visual updates including the lightsabers. Certain frames such as the Vader/Luke crossblade in ROTJ and the Falcon training in ANH have been fixed ... but the rest of the scenes are inconsistent with the look very close, if not the same, as the 2004 DVD release.

Anything new happen on the last 12 pages since I went and took a snooze?

No? Carry on.

And I wonder what James Earl Jones thinks about it, maybe even saying it originally for this scene before it was cut out and now re-inserted?

And Lucas stood up and said, "that'll do nicely James" and walked out with his pocket recording device?

Well, here is the answer for Mr. Jones part-

"Hello Mr.Jones, we'd like for you to come in and record a few more dialogue samples for Darth Vader for the new Star Wars Blu-Rays."
"Nooooo."
"I'm sorry, what was that?"
"I SAID NOOOO! STOP CALLING ME!"
*hangs up*

...

"He hung up...did it record ok Ben?"
"Hah, I got it!"

How come only people who hate it seem to have gotten hold of the Blu-rays. I believe none of it until they're released and reviewed by someone reputable.

And I have no axe to grind...I haven't even pre-ordered them and I'm only a bit of a fan. If the reviewers say they're great (even if they have a few faults), I'll probably buy and if they say they suck, I won't. Even if I do buy them, I'll watch them once and probably won't watch again until ten years from now. I never even bothered with the DVDs. By the time I was interested, BD was on the way. I've still got my unaltered VHS THX versions, although I probably soon won't have anything to play them on.

And now we're resorting to repeated callbacks of lame jokes from pages back? Seriously?

Guess they should have bought it when it was offered, rather than having a fit about the Non-Anamprphic LD cuts.

Breather 09-01-2011 11:53 PM

That's the way I bought them too. That tin was a nice addition, a Best Buy exclusive.

Yeah, the tin is a thing of beauty. I keep some of my gaming supplies in it.

That the same one I have. It came in cardboard not a tin. The tin must be really expensive.

Agent Bond 09-01-2011 11:55 PM

Which Star Wars DVD box set came with the 4th bonus disc?

The first DVD set, released in 2004. I think it was reissued a year later without the bonus disc and new artwork.

The original release of the Trilogy on DVD Boxset from 2004. I think it was discontinued in 2005.

Release day is real soon. Wow, does time fly or what?

georgec 09-02-2011 12:01 AM

I just went to a couple of used movie/music stores. One had ESB and ROTJ 2006 DVDs for $15 each, new. It also had the 1989 laserdiscs for all three movies for just $2 each. I didn't have space to carry them around but will go back later to get them, maybe tomorrow. Of course, they'll be gone by then!

I really want those 1993 laserdiscs and widescreen 1995 THX VHS tapes.
