The extras are half the experience. The bonus disc for the boxset a few years ago was incredible.

Camerons hate is because of the hate he has directed at the American people. He is the one who hates his fans

Lucas hasn't been quiet such a jerk so I don't think deserves quite the hate thats directed towards him. However he has made some undeniably boneheaded decisions in recent years that are certainly worthy of critisim. Greedo Shooting First, "I don't like sand", deleting the Grevious murders Shaak Ti scene, Ziro the Hutt, among other things.

No doubt! Been like that since before the SE's and PT.

It's true Cameron is a bit prickly and not a nice guy, but the a-hole in that situation was the autograph seeker. He seeks those signatures to SELL THEM. He's NOT a true fan.

To be fair, I think that guy is pretty crappy for harrassing JC for an autograph. He came off as if he was entitled to one because he spent an hour's wage to see Avatar. Pretty lame.

I don't blame celebrities for getting annoyed by people that try to interrupt their day-to-day lives, asking for an autograph. The vast majority of those people are only doing it to turn a profit anyway.

But whatever, I'm going to pass on seeing the 3D versions of the SW saga in 2012. I've seen how 2D movies turned 3D look and it isn't impressive. I will, however, buy the bluray set of the saga next year and hopefully any further changes GL deems necessary will be for the better.

Did you by any chance have seen The Nightmare Before Christmas and Alice in Wonderland in 3D. They looked quite impressive in converted 3D. The trailer to Chronicles of Narnia Voyage of the Dawn Treader also looked incredible. Conversions only suck when there done rushed or done cheap.

Lucas's talents as a storyteller may be questioned by some but his talents a visionary filmmaker are not. Every Star Wars movies has used the latest visuals for its time. The Clone Wars show also is the most visually impressive animated series ever on television. Much of the Star Wars prequels are computer animated anyway which are already in 3D inside the computer which is why its good hes starting with them.

It would have taken Mr Cameron ten damn seconds to sign it. He has a long history of arrogance and hypocracy. But I think its possible to separate artists from there art. The Terminator and Aliens are still masterpeices regardless of how Cameron behaves. Just as The Empire Strikes Back is still a masterpeice regardless of what Lucas does now.

And the fan had a long history of eBay-ing those items signed. Why should Cameron make this douche money he doesn't deserve? A *true* fan gets the autograph and *keeps* the item as a prized possession. JC knew who he was, just as a celebrity can recognize a paprazzo vs. an honest somebody who just happened to run into a their idol.

I would love to have Empire Of Dreams on Blu-ray.

I used to be into extras, but rarely watch them anymore. I would like to see all the deleted scenes reedited into the movies, though, perhaps with seemless branching.

Same here. Just don't really have the time for extras anymore.

That said, I'll happily watch any new Star Wars extras that are included in the set. :)

Heres hoping eh! I love that documentary, it's a wonder Star Wars was ever completed when you see all that was stacked against the production!

Yeah, Glad to see that I am not the only way who finds J.Cameron incredibly arrogant and rude.

George Lucas, Francis Ford Coppola, Steven Spielberg are much friendlier and charming, especially George, who also has a great sense of humourl.

I love that guy, and wished he'd make more experimental movies, or one last super kick a$$ blockbuster, that blows every other movie on earth into oblivion. :D ;)

I want all the extras in HD though, especially the ones of the PT!!

I want all the original DVD extras in full HD and tons of new extras in HD. :)

Is that too much to ask for? :D  :D :p

George Lucas does seem nice, just one with a strong artistic vision. Quiet, shy...sounds like me.

As for all the DVD extras included in HD...yes for inclusion, but there's a chance they were produced in SD. I haven't seen Empire of Dreams in a while, but I think it was filmed partially in SD. Just don't be disappointed if they're not as sexy as the films. I'm sure there will be a few new features that will be HD.
