It's almost as bad as Yee-haw and Yahoo. I think the dialogue of all the SW films was inspired by the Dukes of Hazzard.

Han's "Yeeahoo" in ANH gets a giggle out of me everytime. lol!

I can't even watch the original trilogy with all of the terrible hair styles. When is George going to fix this already?

Outside of the Heir to the Empire & Jedi Academy trilogies, the events of The KotOR games & O.R. novels are some of the best EU stories there are.

yeah. Definitely. It's amazing how some of these young writers from Bioware and Obsidian understand what SW is all about better than Lucas does at this point in his career. Kreia, HK-47, Revan, Canderous, Exile...all great characters. You could theoretically break up the KOTOR 2 game into three parts and make an amazing movie trilogy out of it, if one were ambitious enough to try.

Meh. The video games pale in comparison to the actual films. I'll take Jar Jar anyday over those losers.

MCT 10-20-2010 11:46 PM

Of course YOU would. :)

Yes, it's called my excellent taste in movies and characters. :)

Beast where do you score your blow from? That's some potent stuff your dealer is supplying you with. It can fool people into thinking Jar Jar is a better character than Kreia! PASS THAT!

Much like his avatar it appears Beast likes to post "in character." No way he could possibly believe the nonsense he says. He is good for a few laughs though. It's part of the reason this thread is so amusing. :D

Actually, I am totally serious. I love the Binks. Have since even before E1 opened.

Have pretty much any collectible associated with him. Action Figures, Busts, Pepsi Standees.

Only thing that has escaped me, due to the insane price point, is the lifesize statue.

HK-47 is my favorite video game character ever... Meatbag!

Poor Ahmed Best. It must be hell being the voice of the worst character in sci-fi movie history. I was at the Celebration V Star Wars convention a few months ago and Jar Jar is literally the one Star Wars character with zero mention. It's like Lucas and fans alike just want to pretend he never existed. Can't blame them.

Sith 10-21-2010 06:53 AM

Just a quick thought, I wonder if they'll release these in the theatre's for a night before they come out on blu ray like Exorcist and Wizard of Oz did?

If you turn it around, that's actually kind of cool (and by cool, I mean unique...you know, just so Ahmed doesn't feel THAT bad). But really, I think he's the one character anyone can name...literally anyone. Whether that's good or bad is another story.

Jar Jar never really disturbed me much. I think some people just love to make too much out of it.

Stinky-Dinkins 10-21-2010 09:02 AM

Anyone who has a life-size statue of Jar Jar Binks should be monitored by the authorities.

Terrible, awful character. Those new Star Wars movies just aren't good at all. Sorry.

Maybe in 30 years he'll edit the Hell out of his new Star Wars movies as he did with the old, good ones and actually make them watchable, that would be the textbook definition of irony.

They'd each only be about 7 - 10 minutes long, though, otherwise it wouldn't work.

Thank you Joseph Stalin ;)

Now back to Star Wars, the prequels are fun movies IMO of course it's ok if you did not like them. I think too many of you went into to them with way too much expectation from the originals which were never great movies to beging with but you painted them that way in your mind. When doing something like this, the prequels never stood much of chance.

As for Jar Jar, I think Lucas had more in mind for him in episode 2 and 3 but toned it down in order to please those who hated everything. I am sure he wanted to go somewhere with Jar Jar but dropped the idea after the backlash of episode 1. It was a mistake IMO, he should have continued with it because they would have hate anything with the prequels no matter what he did with them. What is done is done now but I still think Jar Jar could have turn out to be a good character with evolution in the story later on.

Yes now, please go right ahead and make fun of me
