I haven't had much problems with the few 3d films I've seen. But since I heard that brightness complaint from others I said to myself - ok so why can't they just make the prints brighter?

Glad to see Bay did it and it worked.

I think people have posted that a lot of the times it's the theatres adjusting the brightness down to prolong the life of the bulb in their projectors.

Gotcha

Lol, I thought you meant the blu. My mistake:)

Did they really not include the Theatrical Trailers for any of these films on here? I like having the films on Blu, but I was already somewhat let down by them not including the Star Wars: Empire of Dreams A&E documentary from the DVD trilogy. So are the trailers nowhere on the Blus?

dcowboy7 02-24-2012 02:01 PM

The clone wars on cartoon net starts a 4 episode arc tonite that will end the season.

Darth Maul makes his comeback in it....should be interesting to see how they put him back together again.

I'm thinking CLONE.

dcowboy7 02-24-2012 03:11 PM

No supposedly its really him.

Chordata 02-24-2012 03:17 PM

It is supposedly really him, which is utterly absurd even in the Star Wars universe. That said...I'm game and will tune in! lol

Looking to buy the three bonus discs from the complete saga. PM if interested.

Nope. Not there, unfortunately.

Not really that absurd, especially since he now reportedly
[Show spoiler]has mechanical legs
.

If you think about it, both Darth Vader and General Grievous both survived near-death experiences and were brought "back" with some kind of life-sustaining technology.

Hey fellas, I thought I'd give you guys something to read. I think it'd make for some good conversation:

He was literally cut in two though, mechanical legs are one thing but....

Attachment 44360

He'd need some serious repairs!

Suddenly...I'm not half the man I used to be...

[Show spoiler]somebody had to do it

Haaahahahhahahahahhahaahahahahahahahaha.

no, not even close. both detail AND color are crazy off in these shots. I have yet to see anything beat the Bluray versions in picture quality.

Same for me, watching the 9-disc set is making me feel like i'm watching it for the first time all over again. I'm noticing so many things i never did before.

If you watch A New Hope in the desert scene when R2 is creeping along alone just before he gets attacked by the Jawas, you can see a bunch of green moss on rocks behind him - the detail is spectacular! I watched one of my old original VHS copies to compare and see if you can see the moss, and it's just a slight blur, would have never been noticed without the bluray restoration.

So many other random texture details have stuck out and surprised me, theres apparently a Jabba the hut mural on the sail barge in return of the jedi that i've never seen before - it was always too dark and blurred out before.

I have no complaints on picture quality anywhere on the blurays.
