Wow, talk about insanity. I don't even know 15 people that well in my life, outside of my family...to say nothing about 1,500. I only started my Facebook page to make amends with a former flame, and once that was done, I abandoned it. I'm not really into the recent "connection craze" at all.

My guess is that we all have to play this waiting game, and work for the reveal longer so that Lucasfilm can play with our minds and hearts before they reveal what ELSE is in the release...

ahem... UOT maybe? digital yoda in TPM maybe? more edits to the SE's maybe? who knows.

I think their is a delightful surprise at the end of the wait!

I hope.

for example..how else would I share my star wars passion with my friends? like if I wanted to show them my collection? FB...I take pictures of my collection and send them a link..its easy..

here is my collection...

https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...2&l=b44fa61ebb

so you see facebook is good for fans and collectors...to share pics that otherwise you have to send by email or other way..its easier this way.

I join on Facebook in order to track old school friends which I had lost contact and not seen in many years, which sounded like a good idea at the time.

Then I notice why we had lost contact

Then I started receiving post on my page about people telling me all about their silly daily lives.

"going to the store", "I am at the restaurant", "at the gym training"

Guess what one and all? I do not give a crap what you are doing, is that clear on should I use a different language ;)

In short Facebook is just not for me.

I agree.

I think we can all do without that piece especially the part where Carrie Fisher attempts to sing. It made me cringe when I first saw it years ago.

I think its just ridiculous, in what's considered a "friend" these days. Not so long ago, a friend was someone you actually knew, liked, and spent time with on a regular basis. You shared a personal bond, and it became stronger over time. Unfortunately, now its the equivalent of just being another name on someone's list in cyberspace. How disappointing. :(

I happen to agree with NYorker, the boxed cover art is CRAP!!! What happened to the classic "photo" covers or airbrushed artwork? I'm personally disappointed with the cover art for the original trilogy. Darth Vader on the cover? If I'm not mistaken, Darth Vader had a very minor role in the original trilogy and that the original trilogy focused on Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, R2-D2 and C-3PO.

I was expecting to see Luke Skywalker take center stage on the original trilogy art, instead, we get Darth Vader. Even the cover art for the prequel trilogy set is depressing ... almost looks like "puke".

Also, shouldn't that be Luke Skywalker in the foreground of the "Saga" box art with Anakin "ghosted" out?

I love the holiday special..but you have to have to have seen it on TV when it came out to remember it...to have that part in your heart for it. If you see it today it's totally different...if you saw it as a kid, like me and saw it when it ran..it was like watching the superbowl...or the moon landing..it was HUGE!!!

so it has a place in my heart...I think it was good..I have a pirated VHS tape that I once got at the comic con. it looks awful. but I love the Khasshyk part where we see it for the first time and get to see chewies family..that was great!

I know what you mean...but I only add real people and close people. I only have like 90 friends on facebook and I know like 40% of them in real life..so its ok...you have to think of it like a communication device...when you start adding people that you never even met or talked to before, that's when it gets crazy..
