So is that a typo? Because I'd much rather have TM2, which is easily the best in the series.

One thing I'd always hoped for is TM2 being re-released with online play. Even if it wasn't in HD it would be awesome.

They did already. It's the PC version of Twisted Metal 2.

I know about that, but when I tried to play it years ago with a Playstation controller via adapter, it controlled like shit.

Perhaps I should revisit it and see if there are better controller options now. I wonder how many people still play it.

Or just get with the times and play the new one. Even Black was better than TM2.

I won't be bothering with Black this time around though. No trophies or HD remaster means I can just play it on my PS2 and not eat up HDD space for it.

TM2 is miles better than Black, it's not even close really.

TM2 is better than 1,3 and 4.
Black had the same controls (physics) and the levels are way better than anything on TM2.

I would like to see Hollywood level make a reappearance in the new one.

I played TM2 on the PS3 as it's available to DL, and I don't know how I used to do it, but the frame rate really took something away from it.

TM2 doesnt hold up well today. At time of release TM2 was my favorite game and wassuch a great day for its time. Comparing the two today, Black is better bc its more playable and fun

Yea the graphics in general in TM2 are pretty bad. Especially when things randomly disappear on certain levels. But physics and impact were what made the game the best for me. When you got hit in the face with napalm it was loud, your whole screen was on fire, and it hurt. There was nothing like that in TMB or any other TM game really. Same with using a bigger car to turbo and smash into another car. In TM2 you feel the impact and in some cases send the other car tumbling over and over. In TMB you kinda just barely bounce off and not much happens.

Don't get me wrong, TMB is a good game, just not nearly as good as TM2, imo.

If you can get past the graphics, TM2 holds up just fine. I still play it once in a while, and within minutes I'm having just as much fun as I did playing it every day in high school.

Twisted Metal should just release a new one called the "World Tour" again after this Twisted Metal sometime in the near future and have all the characters return from TM1/2, TMB and the new TM :) Bring back Darktooth with those big riccohet balls!!!

Playing TM2 on PC with Darktooth the computer AI would run away from you. You had to play "helicopter" mode because the back of the truck would cover your whole screen.

I found the physics to be the same in both TM2 and Black, which is why I loved black. Jaffe and company were back to making the games instead of 989 studios. You also felt the impact now since the PS2 has vibration. I originally liked the old napalm better but then I got used to the gas can napalm and I like that more now. I prefer the old freeze animation where the block is around you rather than the sheet of ice in black. I think that freeze in the new one being more like an EMP-shortage missile will be most logical explanation for the weapon.

Nice. Preacher looks like he's back. We haven't seen him with a faction so I'm wondering what his role will be.

As far as I know, he and his clan are multiplayer only, so don't expect to see anything big come out of it.

The seems to be filming him in the capacity of a story. Wonder why he wouldn't get one then.
