Loved it! Sound system was powerful yet perfectly clean sounding, and the stage show was awesome... I took a half-dozen 30-second videos on my 1-megapixel camera-phone, got the wall falling down...

Yep, Green Zone and Inglorious Basterds for $10.95, saw them there, even had IB in my hand for awhile, but ended up putting it back...

Green Zone kinda made me sea-sick....more camera dips and swerves than the Bourne flicks....

But that is a fantastic sale price!! Make sure you call BEFORE you start your drive Aero.

IB is a very very good flick. I bought it when it came out, but haven't watched it yet. Long movie too, but well-made/written IMO.

OK, so here's my YouTube link to the video I captured on my camera phone at the Roger Waters concert - sorry, I have a crummy 4-year old, 1-megapixel camera phone that only takes 30-second, 320x240 video clips, so I got what I got... I stitched about 6 or 7 clips together into one 5 minute video:

Roger Waters "The Wall" concert, Philadelphia, 11-08-2010

At least I got the wall coming down...

What's up for the weekend Troy?:D
Hope you're having a great day!

FREYMAX 3D 11-12-2010 06:57 PM

Well, got an old neighbor coming tonight with his 2 boys to watch Iron Man 2, only their second time at my Theater - they saw Avatar for the first time about a month ago at my place...

Saturday afternoon I may have an outdoor picnic to go to at a friend's house about an hour and 15 minute drive away - if I can get my two girls to agree to go... My friend owns 9 acres of woodland in the mountains where he built his house, he has a big picnic pavilion, and a nice lean-to with a 6-ft fire ring and permanent log benches around it, they'll probably have a big bonfire going later in the evening... we're supposed to have temps in the mid 60's on Saturday...

Sunday, we're having a birthday party at my Parent's house for my younger Brother, he just turned 46 on Wednesday. Ugh, the big 5-0 is coming up for me in June - and I won't even BE in Hawaii, lol... :(

I knew I was forgeting something:confused:, the IM2 showing, that'll be great on your setup!!!
A bonfire would be awesome this weekend, I hope you're able to go.
BTW how is your daughter doing?:)

Birthday parties come much too fast at this point:ohnoes:

FREYMAX 3D 11-12-2010 07:09 PM

My daughter's getting around pretty good on her crutches now, she's been back to school for the last three weeks... she has a hard cast on now, but not a walking cast, she can't put any weight on her leg yet. I figure it will be January until they remove the rods in her leg, so it's a long way to go yet... I think she's enjoying all the attention she gets from her classmates and teachers at school, I'm afraid she's gonna milk that a bit, lol... :p

Good to hear she's doing well!!
It doesn't seem like that long ago that we were all freaking out:ohnoes::ohnoes::ohnoes: about how she was.(I know I was)

glad that she's well into recovery:rock:

Bring on the Weekend!

FREYMAX 3D 11-14-2010 02:19 AM

Pulled all the DVD+R movies off my shelf that I now have duplicates of on Blu-ray, probably close to 150 titles, pretty much what I have in my movie list on this forum - gonna get rid of them to make more space on my media shelves for new Blu's. I'll probably take them to work and sell them off to my co-workers for like a buck a piece just to recoup the cost of the materials - the discs are in slimline cases with inkjet-printed covers, so I should be able to get rid of most of them fairly easily...

bz1080p 11-16-2010 02:52 PM

Good morning Troy:) and thank you for the visit:D
Glad to see you liked The Last Airblender;) JK:p

Hi Michael -yes, I got their flyer at the store - the only problem is, I won't get to go there on Thanksgiving day, because the UE is by my office, which is about 25 miles from my home. I probably won't be making a special trip way over there just for a few dollars of savings... oh well. But, I CAN visit both UE and BB on Black Friday, if I want, because I'll be working that day... but then again, I don't like crowds...

Yea, and...? The LINK & what we were talking about was for UE. Nut. ;)

SKYLINE is def. only really worth a rental. Caught it this past Sunday; it was a "walk-in" :o after seeing the Very Impressive (IMO) & Much better, "UNSTOPPABLE" with Denzel W. & Chris Pine, with Rosario Dawson in a pivotal role that she was very good in.

I'll probably go over to UE after work tomorrow and see what they may have on special, but I don't really have any money to spend now... :(

Oppo BDP-93 is HERE!

WOOT! Got my email notice last night to order the new Oppo BDP-93 player, they're offering it first to those that requested notification of the release, with a still-beta firmware on it - I think I'm going to go ahead and get one to test it out. They said they are extending the return policy up to 30 days after the general release date, so I should have plenty of time to try it out, and if I don't like it compared to my 83, I can return it. What the hey...

Congrats!!!

I would definitely be interested in how it compared to the already awesome BDP-83.

FREYMAX 3D 11-20-2010 12:55 AM

Well, it's ordered. They start shipping out Monday, so hopefully I'll have mine by Thanksgiving Saturday...

Nice setup and theater ! Cool idea with the website...nice work.

FREYMAX 3D 11-20-2010 04:58 PM

Thanks, Gates... The website is very useful since I show regular Monthly Movie Nights, everyone can just check the website every month for what movie is playing next... But, I really need to update the photos on the site with all the photos I have here in my HT Gallery - I'm WAY behind with my website photos. :(

Your Theater's looking real nice too - just need a drop ceiling in there yet, looks like...

Thanks Frey ! It's a work in progress and has been for a while. I still have to tweak a few things and then the last thing will be the drop ceiling. Just finishing up my colelctibles room as we speak. That should be done in the next couple of days.
