Good Morning, Mr. Ninja, Sir... :)

FREYMAX 3D 12-16-2010 05:56 PM

Woohoo! Finally! I ordered 10 Blu-rays from the DVD2BLU.com website way back on October 27, and have been waiting patiently for almost 2 months to receive my order. I had contacted Warner two weeks ago about my order status, and was told then that "Troy" and "Gran Torino" were still on backorder. Other people here on the DVD2BLU thread were being told the same thing for these two titles just a few days ago. I sent a second email to Warner again on Monday, and I just received a reply back today that my order shipped on Tuesday via UPS; they also gave me the UPS tracking number.

My email was a little scathing with things like "poor customer service" and "never ordering again" in it, don't know if it got their attention or if they just "happened" to get those titles in stock all of a sudden, that my order magically shipped the very next day... but, The UPS site says my package has left the local UPS hub and is "Out for Delivery" on the truck, so at least I'm finally getting my order today!

EDIT: Received today in Mail: 13 blu's - My DVD2BLU shipment, and the last of my BF week purchases from Amazon...

Amazon, $7.99 each:
Jason and the Argonauts (Harryhausen)
The Protector (Tony Jaa)
Tin Man miniseries

DVD2BLU.com, $5.15 each:
Gran Torino
Troy
Michael Clayton
V for Vendetta
Last Samurai
Pan's Labyrinth
Firewall
Get Smart
Christmas Vacation
Corpse Bride

Nice selection of Blu's there Troy:rock:

Good Morning, Bill... Short week at least the next two weeks, 4-day work weeks for me. I didn't take any time off for the holidays, so I only have the 2 holidays off...

Worst part is I will be busy again those days due to volume and other people being off, so it won't even feel like a "normal" day, but instead, a really busy one.

FREYMAX 3D 12-20-2010 03:01 PM

Well, the days will go quick if you're busy, at least...

Watched a real "entertainer" last night on DVD - a buddy came over and he picked out "Godzilla 2000" off my shelf... lol, what a trip! Godzilla vs. an alien spaceship...

Hahaha... :p

Hey Factor, well, I picked up The Pacific today, went to Best Buy because I had a $5 Rewards coupon, so I could get it for $34.99. They didn't have any on the shelf; Checked at the Customer Service desk, their computer said they had 4 sets in stock, but they couldn't find any of them...!

So I went across the street to Ultimate Electronics - they had a half-dozen sets on the shelf for $72.95, so I got them to price-match Best Buy's $39.99 price...

Morning sir! Well, my co-worker-in-crime is at our remote office in Altoona, PA through Thursday, so I'm all alone this week for support. Yay. :o

FREYMAX 3D 12-22-2010 03:14 AM

Watched "Legend of the Guardians" tonight with my daughter - Wow, the animation in that movie is superb! Wish I could see that one in 3D! This was WAY better than Despicable Me...

Ditto to these 2 posts!! A great Fun movie is a GREAT FUN MOVIE, no matter it be a Drama, Crime story, Comedy, Action, Sci-Fi, or Animation.:whip:  :D

FREYMAX 3D 12-22-2010 12:36 PM

I find animated movies lots of fun, and with the quality of animation nowadays, it makes them even more entertaining to watch. Heck, I'm 50 years old and I still watch cartoons on TV... even when my kids aren't staying with me! :p

Despicable Me and Guardians are on opposite ends of the spectrum as far as animated movies go - Despicable me was light-hearted and themed mainly for younger children, whereas Guardians is for an older crowd, with a darker, more sinister Good vs. Evil storyline. More like a Harry Potter movie than a Toy Story movie...

Good morning Troy:D
I liked both of those and my 16 yr old likes that kind of fare too! We just went to see Tangled over the weekend:rock:

FREYMAX 3D 12-23-2010 12:23 PM

Good Morning, all... one last day of work before Christmas - except, that is, for Fors... ;)

And no John, she didn't want to talk to me last night when I stopped over at her Mother's after work... ah well, give it some time...

Morrissey 12-24-2010 01:21 PM

Have a great Christmas Troy! :santa:
Will you have a special showing during the holidays?

Fors* 12-24-2010 01:23 PM

Merry Christmas Troy, I hope you and your girls have a great holiday.

No, no showings planned until January - Next scheduled Movie Nights are the 6th and 8th, I'll most likely be showing either Inception or The Town... I DO want to get out to the new IMAX theater that recently opened nearby to see Tron: Legacy, sometime the week between Christmas and New Years...

Merry Christmas to all!

Hi Troy,

I hope that you and your family have a safe and Merry Christmas and a great weekend. Looks like we won't have a white Christmas, unlike last year.
