Hey bill - Good evening, fine Sir! I didn't wanna miss replying to your post too - even if it was without visually gratuitous pleasures... ;)

Mmm... not bad there, Bill - not bad at all!

FREYMAX 3D 03-15-2012 12:56 PM

Ordered the Shrek 1-4 3D set last night on eBay, for only $39 - less than $10 each for four 3D movies is not bad at all, either!

That's a very decent price. Even the first two on 3D BD must be over $40.

D-An! I missed you at Beanies last Saturday... went there all by myself!

I'm up in the Poconos right now for work, just got back from my friends place, had dinner at their house this evening. Gonna mix me up a few whiskey sours here in the hotel room now, and chat online with a few other friends on my Ventrilo server, as soon as any of them get on...

Coming home tomorrow afternoon, looking forward to the weekend and a few more 3D movies...

Happy Friday Troy!

I saw your post earlier last week about Beanies. I did respond but it must have gotten lost in the mix. My wife had a firm party over the weekend so I was indulging in free food, drink, and the company of richies who think their poop doesn't stink. It was alright.

I'll be with the inlaws this weekend celebrating their Irish heritage. It has its perks I suppose. They throw some good parties. Enjoy the 3D fest

OK, no I missed your reply, wherever it was. That's OK, I was just happy to get some more wings in my belly - I got the Garlic Old Bay wings this time around, and a couple of Molson Canadians on tap.

Ah, yes, I momentatily confused you with Landry, sorry about that, Vomiticus ThreeDius... :D

Without knowing all you guys in person, it is hard to keep track of who's who on here. Plus the fact that due to my age my mind escapes me, just for a moment sometimes... :confused2: :goofy:

Maybe following along at a slower place. Cause you have to remember I bought the 3D display before you bought your new PJ. Almost bought the glasses for 1/2 off today but there was a discrepancy on Beach Audio website. I want the black pair which = AN3DG20B but as I was reviewing my order before submit they had their part number as AN3DG20S which would indicate silver frames. They are not open on the weekends so my wait is going to be longer.

Tin tin was just OK, the story and the action was a bit silly and far-fetched, definitely to appeal to the younger crowd... Unfortunately, after watching the strong 3D of Hugo first, it then made the 3D in Tin tin seem fairly flat... :meh:

I can't wait to see the 3D in Sammy's Adventure, just got my copy from Hong Kong on Friday, along with a bunch of other 3D movies... already posted this over in Landry's thread, but for the rest of you, here's what all was in my mailbox on Friday when I got back form my monthly Pocono trip for work:

Well, today I started working on my theater room reconstruction again, after a couple month's hiatus over the winter months... I finally finished cutting and installing the vinyl baseboard around the last two wall columns in the rear of the theater, on either side of my poster lightbox. I also re-ran the rear right speaker cable, which had been laying on the floor - routing it above the drop ceiling, down behind the wall, and bringing it out inconspicuously through a half-inch hole through the baseboard on the side of the one of the wall columns:

Good job on the base boards! Dang it Troy, I haven't been drinking Dos Equis since the Superbowl. :ohnoes: That looks good though.

FREYMAX 3D 03-18-2012 02:48 AM

OK, so a couple friends and I watched Sammy's Adventure 3D tonight to experience the renowned 3D effects the movie is known for, and then afterwards, we watched some good 3D blood and gore with Immortals 3D...

Sammy's definitely had some awesome 3D, but unfortunately the far-left ecological agenda of the movie was way too in-your-face as well. The Hippies, Greenpeace, oil spills, save the whales - it got to be so ridiculously obnoxious the further into the movie we went, we were just laughing incredulously at all the lunacy...

Very nice job as usual buddy. Now you just have to either paint that wire Blue or White
[Show spoiler](to blend in better). ;) :p :D

As for the Pirates 4/3D, I saw that one in IMAX-3D & aside from the movie being somewhat Lame
[Show spoiler](IMO  )
, I thought the 3D wasn't that impressive either. The only real thing it did that I could see or tell, was give added Depth to many scenes
[Show spoiler](not a Bad thing, mind you)
. There were a few of the "objects flying At You" cheese, but thankfully not too much.

I am SO looking forward to this movie...

HOORAY! Today I finally finished the last section of vinyl tiles on my basement floor - the closet under the stairwell... I am now totally done spreading glue and cutting tiles! What a chore it was to lay 650 sq.ft. of vinyl tile in the basement - if I would have decided to lay that ceramic tile I originally bought, I don't think I would have ever finished cutting and grouting that much area... :relief:

I didn't do the greatest job on this last area, but what the hey, it's just the inside of a closet...

http://troyfrey.com/forum/flood/staircloset.jpg

My next chore will be to put down 3 coats of acrylic sealer on the tiles in this closet and the big walk-in closet I finished a few months ago, and then start moving all my junk that is still piled up in the living room and dining room back into the closets...
