Hope you get a chance. I'm ready for episode 8, gonna be so sad when it is all over. Cannot wait for season 2.

Well, looks like we're gonna watch a few more episodes tomorrow night... My biggest gripe is that there's only 10 episodes in the season, what a gyp!

FREYMAX 3D 03-23-2012 02:56 AM

I've been (re)watching the 3-part SciFi Channel miniseries "The Lost Room" with my oldest daughter the last two nights, we watched the first part last night and the second part tonight. If any of you guys have never seen this 2006 miniseries, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT - I think it is THE BEST miniseries that the SciFi Channel ever put out... one of those shows where you don't even want to get up to go to the bathroom until the entire 4 1/2 hours is over!

Unfortunately, The Lost Room has only been released on DVD, so you'd have to stoop to lowly SD to watch it... But it is still very much worth it! I can't believe they haven't ported this over to Blu-ray yet - instead, they release lesser quality miniseries like "Fallen" and "Neverland" on BD... :(

landry_p2000 03-23-2012 07:48 AM

Howdy Troy. :) I will probably toss in Game of Thrones and Weeds Seaon 7 when I grab a couple of 3-D blu-rays.

TGIF Troy:D

hometheatergeek 03-23-2012 12:41 PM

Good TGIF Troy. I purchased two 3D glasses last night. They are the Sharp brand and I was able to score them for less then $100 including shipping. One neat feature of these glasses...they can be turned off so if someone does not want to watch the movie in 3D they can still wear the glasses and watch the movie in 2D. So I'm getting closer. I now have to decide on just getting the Panny 310 model or spend the extra coin and go for the Oppo.

Boardwalk Empire is the same. Lots of HBO stuff is just ten episodes: Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Generation Kill,... But those are miniseries.

GoT season 2 won't be out for another year.:(

FREYMAX 3D 03-25-2012 01:34 AM

Well, since I sold my old Optoma HD20 DLP projector a few days ago, I added some extra cash in my bank account that I transferred over from my Paypal transaction. Today I ordered two more pair of Epson 3D glasses for the new projector, got these for $78 each... so soon I'll have six pair for entertaining.

My Kung Fu Panda 3D and Kung Fu Panda 2 3D just arrived yesterday in the mail, so I'm up to 30 3D movies in my collection already...

My BenQ W5000 DLP projector recently failed. So I'm in the market for a new projector. I figure, might as well go 3D. Seeing as you've been at it fir a while, what 3D projector would you recommend? I've got my eye on the new BenQ W7000 DLP 3D, especially since I may be able to secure a "trade-up" option. But I'm open to options......I just need it NOW!!! Sucks watching movies on my 56" Kuro! ;)

Well, the Benq had some issues with black levels, but they recently upgraded the Firmware on the newest stock, which supposedly improved that quite a bit now. If you're planning to watch a lot of 3D, you may want to consider the Epson 3010 or 5010, just for the highest 3D brightness... I do like the DLP projectors, since they have single chip video, it is nice and sharp, and DLPs have little to no crosstalk - my 3-LCD Epson is slightly less sharp than my Optoma HD20 DLP, because the LCD panels require slight convergence alignments. Fortunately, I have no crosstalk issues with my 5010... If you are not succeptible to rainbows with a DLP projector, then the Benq would probably be a good choice, or maybe the Optoma HD33...

Your feedback is much appreciated. Thank you. My viewing will be about 70% 2D to 30% 3D, mainly due to source material, although I plan on 3D growth. I have loved the DLP picture quality, from my BenQ 2D, so I'm hoping to continue that. How did the DLP glasses work for you, with DLP link and synching?

My HD20 was not a 3D projector, that's why I upgraded to the Epson 5010... So I don't know how well those DLP link glasses perform, sorry!

Morning, Russ - I'm not up quite as early today as yesterday, but I do have some 401K paperwork to do for work, and I have to pay some bills - it's much more peaceful and Zen-like now when my girls are still in bed sleeping... :D

Good morning, Dr. Danger. Just got into work, gonna be a long day - I have two laptops to install Windows 7 on, and then run encryption on the hard drives. The entire process takes almost two full work days... :meh:

Have you seen the first two, or are they Blind Buys? If you haven't opened your C&A yet, return it. I have it & can sell/send it to you
[Show spoiler](w/the QUEEN DVD's)
for much lower than that $20 you paid.

I had it & then got it on Steelbook.
[Show spoiler]I've actually never even Watched either yet ( :o  :p ), but for $10, it's yours. Save yourself $10

Morning Guys, VERY busy at work today, still working on the installs, plus a lot of other emergencies... guess I won't be on the forum much today. :(

In other news...

Early guess-timate for this Friday's upcoming MEGAMILLIONS drawing are at $476 MILLION, since Nobody hit the Jackpot last night ($363M). Good Lord... :relief:

"After taxes",
[Show spoiler](roughly 58% off the top)
, that's about $200 MILLION "Take Home" folks...!!!! :yikes: :jawdrop: :panic:  :melodrama: :dizzy2: :faint:

(Remember - the $476M early estimate will more than likely go up a bit, maybe not quite at the 1/2 BILLION Threshold, but close enough!!) :panic:

** There were 47 who hit 5 of the 6 numbers, for the 2nd price of $250,000 per **
