[Show spoiler]Yeah.........you probably should've waited until you had either enough Paragon or Renegade points to do Jack's Loyalty mission. To gain her loyalty at this point, after you pissed her off and sided with the much better Miranda, you need a hell of a lot of Renegade points.

So if you're doing a mostly Paragon playthrough, then you're pretty much screwed. If you had enough Paragon points before they're fight then you could've ended it with one of the blue Paragon options and they'd both still be loyal. But if you're doing a Renegade playthrough, then just build up your Renegade points. Once you have enough, then the option won't be "grayed-out" when you talk tot her

Had it happen a couple times.

Also had it happen once where the main character's speech started way after it should, so it ended up with the MC + Jacob talking on top of each other, which was weird to say the least.

Thanks for the info on the Cerberus system in the main menu. I must have restarted, signed in and out, etc a bunch of times trying to make it right lol....

Also, I had played ME1 on PC when it had come out, and at the time I chose biotic as a class because I was looking to manipulate the field of battle and whatnot. The problem was it was so boring playing the entire game with only a pistol that I hated that class because of it. I ended up going soldier this time around just to try out shotguns, machine guns, sniper rifles, etc. Is it possible to change classes on the 2nd playthrough?

I haven't witnessed any of the characters cutting in and out yet, but to comment on your classes comment, yes. On a second playthrough you can change your class if you want.

BUT, if you're playing as an Adept....or any other class that isn't a Soldier
[Show spoiler](even a Soldier :p)
, once you get about half way through the game, you'll have the option of learning a new weapon class. So if you're an Adept and you're using pistols and such, you'll be able to pick another weapon such as Rifle, Sniper Rifle or shot gun.....but that's further into the game and if you're good at that point of being an adept....you won't need another weapon choice

If I recall, if you change class on the 2nd playthrough, none of your exp transfers over so you're pretty much starting from scratch again. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I couldn't even tell you. I know there's an option to change your class with a second playthrough but I've never done it. :p

As the completist-freak that I am, is this game better following a walkthrough (IGN, Gamefaqs, etc) or is the amount of miss-able things minimal?

Gamma_Winstead 01-19-2011 06:40 PM

You can do it without a guide. I did. No collectables or anything, so just have fun!

No need for a walkthrough. It's not as open as games like Fallout or anything like that. But I would scan planets as much as you can to stock up on minerals. You'll have to upgrade everything with minerals and to upgrade everything means a TON of minerals.

You can find side missions by scanning the planets as well. And the more experience you get the better cause one of the trophies require that your character reach Level 30. And it can be done in one playthrough, especially considering all the DLC included with this version.

Got thru the Main recruit missions on Omega and a couple side ones - about 5 hours in, and I play slow, so 3 for the rest of you

Very impressed with look of game...I think many must be happy with this cause everyone on the Bioware boards seemed positive yesterday, which is unusual there...LOL

I am playing Engineer class, and choosing only Renegade options - chose to make all the choices I dared not do prior, so going for 'Evil' Shep this time

Having played the 360 version twice before complete, is it just me or does the PS3 version of the difficulty settings seem easier? I am playing a brand new character on Hardcore, and seems easier than it should to me.

No major glitches to report other than the Kaiden picture glitch - seems his pic is on your desk when he shouldnt be

Insanity does seem a bit easier compared to the 360 version. And I also noticed the Kaiden picture

[Show spoiler]Here I am walking to my desk to check out the picture of Liara and BAM!, a picture of a dude :banghead:. I know that he sacrificed himself for the greater good and all, but I want Liara on my desk....not a dude
