When do the romance options become available? I'm just over 14 hours in and still nothing... Is it after you recruit everbody or after you do certain loyalty missions?

[Show spoiler]use the Blackstorm heavy weapon. 2 shots fired at the wall should suck him in, rip away his armor, and leave him danging in the air. Overload him for an instant kill at that point.

For some reason I'm always hesitant about using heavy weapons. I'm so used to conserving ammo so that I can use the Cain. :p

Once I got the Archangel, Insanity got a whole lot easier. I'm not dying nearly as much I was before.

Not until
[Show spoiler]you enter into the Omega Relay and are ready to start the final mission. In the meantime just keep talking to the person you are interested in. For the 360 I imported a character from ME1 that had Ashley as a love interest and in ME2 I romanced Miranda. For the PS3 that I am playing now I made Liara my romance in the interactive comic and plan to romance her again.

Icemage,

I cant remember, but when you begin your second playthrough, do you keep your advanced weapon training and do all of your powers remain maxed out (I am 99% sure they do)? I am thoroughly enjoying the ability to use a sniper rifle, since it is giving me a huge advantage.

Just finished the main story. Feeling a bit unsatisfied with the game overall. The story isn't that great, nor does the game really incentivize you to 'explore the galaxy' all that much. Also, the game's perpetual advertising for ME3 just adds insult to injury--would rather have had ME2 be epic on it's own, rather than somewhat a stepping stone toward a future title.

I am too, but to be quite honest there's only a handful of places where they really help, that one specific spot among them because of the timing and aiming requirements.

Oh there's plenty of difficult missions remaining, trust me. :)

I don't remember what happens when you import since it's been quite a while, but you do keep your level and squad points if you import from a previous ME2 save. I'm pretty sure you DON'T get to keep your extra weapon training.

I'm currently playing adept on my insanity so enemies with shields was a problem for me. Now that I have two people with overload, it makes it a lot easier than what it was before.

I love this combat system! I spent 2 hrs trying to pass one level and as frustrating as it was, it still was fun to play.

Just for the record, Overload is only of limited use against tougher enemies like YMIR mechs on Insanity. It takes many, many Overloads to take down a YMIR's shields. For that, you're going to want to bring Zaeed along and max out his Squad Disruptor Ammo power (and handing him a Collector Assault Rifle or an Incisor Sniper Rifle isn't a bad idea either).

Started my third playthrough with a Female Sentinal Shep. Really enjoying it so far, im breezing through it on Insanity, easier than Soldier i can confirm.
Miss my Assault rifle though does Sentinal get a chance to use any weapons other than SMG and pistol?

Mr. J 01-29-2011 09:29 PM

Just wanted to stop in and let everyone know that I'm blowing through this game on Insanity thanks to the Sentinel class. Its still difficult on certain parts but the Tech Armor is a life saver :D

What weapons do you get as a Sentinel? I just feel better handling an assault rifle on enemies. I hate using shotguns and machine pistols.

Surely you can. I was able to add the assault rifle to my arsenal when I was playing as an Infiltrator mid-way through the game. I think it was offered
[Show spoiler]when you board the reaper ship,
if I remember correctly.

Thanks! I chose
[Show spoiler]Ashley
in the interactive comic but then
[Show spoiler]chose to save Kaiden. :p

Yea, when you pick up the widowmaker, but you won't get to use it. lol

If you can use the arc projector, one shot can nearly take down the YMIR shield. Two shots for sure (plus the collateral damage it does).

I'm a little perturbed at myself having turned off the autosave. I spent all of my gaming time today on the Warload recruitment mission, which was really tough at the end
[Show spoiler](there's no freaking cover)
, and then when I get back to the Normandy, I forget to save a game.
[Show spoiler]Kelly prompts me to go see the Illusive Man, and I'm immediately sucked into Stop the Collectors on Horizon.
After really tough, long missions, I like to relax, explore planets and walk around to see if my crew has anything to say. So please, let me know, is this mission going to try my patience? It's not that I have many other outstanding missions at this point (only Zaeed's loyalty mission), but I wanted to do some other stuff for a while.
