Last steelbook was dvd size. :rolleyes: I am guessing they will do the same with this movie.

Yeah that sucks as it looks really cool but I mat skip it and get the movie only edition or I will just go for the steelbook and just live with the size difference.

The BB I go to still have about 20 of the last movie steelbook. I wonder if its the movie or the size :p

Not sure as one reason I skipped the last steelbook was based on size and the cover didn't interest me at all. I think the Eclipse steelbook will do a lot better as it has an actual picture of the gang and most Twilight fans probably wanted the New Moon cover with Edward and Jacob on it.

Does this mean we're getting a properly sized steelbook for the third movie that includes a DVD copy?! :rock:

Like Zero_Cool said it's most likely a DVD sized steelbook that comes with a flipper or it's own DVD copy.

Well I like these movies so much I may actually get the G1 sized steelbooks for New Moon and Eclipse. :ohnoes:

Yeah I'm thinking about getting the Eclipse steelbook even though it's probably DVD size. Has it been said if this is a pre-order bonus? Would make it easier as I get the steelbook and a Blu-ray case. I would just display the steelbook and not use it.

Copies of the last steelbooks(New moon) are collecting dust on the shelves, defenitely made a huge mistakes by making it a dvd size, so hopefully if they make one for Ecplise it will be the G2 size

I don't think they are being fair with this release. We shouldn't have to get a flipper to get Special Features. Plus they sound like Jerks with that huge "Movie Only" banner @ the bottom and uglier cover art. I am going to buy the Movie Only version just because I don't want dvd or flippers. Special covers, non-HD downloads, Special features, none of that really matters to me anymore, just the high quality HD movie itself @ a fair price. If they are doing this to push Blu-ray, that's good, but there should be @ least one version somewhere that gave the Special Features on 1 disc and Blu-ray with cover art on the other disc just like the 2 Target editions had for the first 2 movies.

What is with this release that really seems off is that the first 2 movies bluray and even DVD was packed with stuff and exclusive releases that had more special features on

Don't get the movie then, if it bothers you that much, I still plan to get it, in IronPack form. Also plan to use that 30% BB coupon to get New Moon.

Of course i will still get it. but aren't you a little puzzled that there isn't much bonus content or special releases with exclusive content like there was for twilight and new moon?

You're asking the wrong person, I don't really watch "bonus" content, I pretty much just watch my movies. :rock: Pretty sure this movie is getting exclusive releases, not to mention a standard movie only release and a more extended release.

Yeah it does seem weird with Twilight and New Moon we would have had like 6 exclusives announced by now. With Eclipse we have just 2 Target and BB's steelbook not counting the movie only edition and the regular flipper version. Really hope they don't treat Breaking Dawn this way.

yeah tell me about it. They could easily had put on meet riley, Meet victoria, meet the new borns ect. Like they did for new moon with jacob, wolfpack and volturi

I'm perfectly happy with the amount of special features. Two audio commentaries, a six-part making of doc, music videos, a picture-in-picture commentary, deleted scenes, etc. amounts to enough for me. There could be more, but at least they aren't holding back special features that should be on the regular release like they did with New Moon. We also don't need a ton of exclusive releases of this. That's great for people who buy all of those, but the vast majority of people will only buy one version. Sure, the exclusive releases for Eclipse kind of stink, but oh well. The only reason why I bought the Target exclusive for New Moon was because they held back special features from the regular release and put them on that, which is worse than having bad exclusive releases.

Am I alone in being furious that digital copies are not being included on the movies? I've watched Twilight probably 20 times on my ipod since I got the Target edition which included it. On a long trip, I'll just play it with no video...after all, I've seen it so much I can watch it in my head :)

I also find it odd how the Twilight movie's weren't getting combo packs or DVD's since most of the people who buy these probably seen them hundreds of times and it would be easier with a spare DVD and DC I think.

Combo packs have just become a regular thing on a lot of releases this year. Except for some Disney releases and a couple of store exclusives, I don't think I have a combo pack that wasn't released this year. I'm not counting movies with digital copies since those aren't really combo packs.

This is what I am doing. I am going to get the new moon Steelbook and forget the size. I am not one of those people that cares about uniformity on my collection shelf.

Yeah I really like uniformity and wish I could have it but I'm not going to skip something really cool just to have it. So I will be getting the steelbook.

Really hoping Wal-Mart gives us an exclusive combo pack of this, would love to have a DVD to go with the blu-ray of this movie. :pray:

I don't think they will be doing that as we already have that option even though it's in a flipper pack. I do think we will get a wal-mart exclusive just not a DVD copy.

This will be a day one purchase for me as my wife cant wait until Christmas to get it and watch it. It is actually the best one so far.

I'm guessing Walmart doesn't since I just checked. And wasn't it with New Moon they have a sneak preview to Eclipse? Obviously they can't do that now so they aren't doing anything
