I was one of the minority who loved XIII....The only thing I can't shake is a 2011 release. I'd give that a 5% chance of being reality, I'd say 2012 takes the other 95.

I loved FF XIII as well. I hope they change the way when Lightning dies during battle, its not game over.

If they learned from their mistakes in XIII I will be happy. I enjoyed the game, but it definitely wasn't my favorite.

If this pulls people away from Versus again, then this is the worst news of the year so far.

I guess Wada has to try to show, yet again, that the 360 fans will somehow want their products...in spite of giving no evidence whatsoever that they do in like...6 tries now.

Seeing it being announced for 360 again dashes my hope of it being non-linear and expansive. It could still be good, though, I guess.

Obviously its a matter of pinion but I thought it was crappy at least compared to the FFs Ive played and thats all since X.

What does itmatter? SE took a hit with FF XIII and the game got slammed and did not do as well as previous FF games. I see this as a change to redeem themselves and they wont do that if what they push out is more of the same from the last game. They really need to switch things up here

So with Lightning wearing knight armor I'm guessing time travel? I liked XIII so I'm not against a sequel, but the trailer has me confused about what's going on; we go from a futuristic setting to a medieval setting? I think I'll just remain cautiously optimistic for this game.

I'm going to withhold judgment on this until I see more. FF13 wasn't one of my favorites, mainly because of a weak and completely forgetable storyline (come to think of it, I can barely recall the main plot points) and bland characters. Why make a continuation of that story with those particular characters instead of a new adventure with a different premise? There are several classic FFs that never received sequels- why make one for a dud?

The more I think about this, the more I wish SE would just finish a damn game before announcing/releasing another. I really think Versus XIII is getting the back burner treatment for this game and when it comes out I will be severely disappointed.

Any word yet on whether this will continue the doom and gloom theme from FF13 or if it will be a lighthearted spinoff, similar to how X-2 was on PS2...

i hope its not linear like ff13.Final Fantasy 13 worst of the series imho.:(

Had a good laugh at the Mind Jack release announcement email I got yesterday. Who knew it was coming? Who cares.

And Gun Loco, clearly some prime grade-A quality development there. It's hard to believe S-E employs such terrible artists but apparently it's internally developed, too!

I don't know if I'll get this. Though I enjoyed 13, there were so many things I wished to be fixed (controlling one character, lack of exploration, etc.). I'll wait to see if they correct these and other things before even thinking of buying this. I remember X-2, and that was a major waste of money IMO.
