yeah all of the had slips bad teach was 19.99 and it buy 2 get 1 for 1.00 so 3 19.99 movies com out to around 13.00 bucks so not bad

No this isn't a factory defect.

It seems to be the result of whatever bizarre way best buy stores/moves the movies. I've seen it in many best buy stores and it usually effects every copy they have. You'll also see similar scratches on non-slipcovered titles in similar spots, either scuffing or ripping the cellophane.

Yea I hate their display case with the sliding thing to push the movies forward. But I've seen couple other people on here with those releases and all have the scuff marks in the exact same spot. I got Nutty Professor and Parenthood and neither had the marks. It might just be the paint/ink on those slips are easily scratchable. I wish they put more on the shelves and not those stupid ass displays. I was there the day before to, I should have bought them then. Oh well, you win some you lose some.

Yeah, but at a later time. I've notice some recent released Sony titles that come with slipcovers I don't see anymore in my area. Good examples are Burlesque and Just Go With It. And I only paid $20 for it. Not bad I think :)

I got them from 3rd party sellers on amazon and both were used and $4 each with prime shipping.

I wanted the Meaning of Life since I was getting Holy Grail. I know Talk to Me is on blu in the UK but is region B locked.

I got the xbox hd-dvd drive 2 1/2 years ago for $15 and a bunch of hd-dvds between $1-$5. Since then most of what I have is now on blu but I still have 4 left including what I just bought. The other 2 are Mallrats and The Jerk. I was also able to trade in the hd-dvds to amazon for close to the same price I paid for them.
