I'm just intrigued, that's all.

I'm usually "that guy". I notice this guy all the time. Rebuys movies like cray.

Is this a slipbox or a slipcover?

Slipbox, yes. I posted it in the list thread too, but you're keeping up to date now I see. :)

Stopped by Wal-Mart this morning. They had a lot of really good titles(and cheap, too!) that I hadn't seen there before, though I only got these:

That looks really nice. Unfortunately I can't buy it on principal. I much prefer the real version of the film, not the bastardized US version.

P.S. Noomi Rapace is way hotter. :)

I have had the theatrical and extended versions of the Swedish films for almost two years now. I have already seen Fincher's take, but like you, I think the Swedish version comes out on top. But the US film is pretty good too, IMHO. Rapace is... well, in the films, she's an acquired taste. But otherwise I'll agree, she's a fine woman.

Hey, I can't buy the originals out of the exact opposite principles :)

Wait, so the US release coming out has been cut or edited or something to that effect?

Edit: nevermind; I realize what's going on now.

I'm starting to think you call things real and fake so much that you've forgotten what the words mean. ;):p

By the way, many have said that Fincher's version is more accurate to the book, so define bastardized.

A little extreme? I'm a big fan of the Swedish film, but I'd hardly call David Fincher's take a bastardization. If Hollywood's going to remake everything than hiring Fincher to direct and Steven Zaillian to write The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo must be one of the better executive decisions. Both films are well crafted. :)

What's it like sitting on your porch with a shotgun yelling at kids to get off your lawn? I've always wondered.

Got these today from Amazon. Even though I got the AA Milk they didn't send me the slip, :disappointed:.
