Came home to a USPS mail bin with this in it (though one item was for the guy upstairs):

With the purchases I'd already made, it turned into this:

Can you confirm if the Flash Gordon steelbook is indeed region B locked?

It's listed as Region Free on the site. And my laptop ripped it just fine. It is, however, listed as B-only on the back.

*Terminator 2 Japanese Steelbook - YES! It's finally here after weeks of waiting. Paid a small fortune for it, but the picture quality is definitely better than the DNR filled Skynet Edition. Anyone who says that T2 needs remastering needs to watch this version first. It's not exactly Taxi Driver, but certainly good enough for me not to want to invest in another version should it be released. I'm good with this!
*Westworld (French)

Then I got a brand new and sealed Xbox 360 HD DVD player attachment very cheaply, and I bought these mostly Universal HD DVDs, which have superior picture quality to their Blu Ray counterparts:

*The Thing - The main reason I got a HD DVD player
*Casino
*The Big Lebowski
*Midnight Run - This doesn't have a Blu Ray release yet, but it will almost certainly come out this year as part of Universal's 100 thing
*Reds (Paramount)
*Tremors - hard to call this as superior because both the HD DVD and the Blu Ray look like crap, but from the information I could gather, the HD DVD has slightly less DNR and I guess therefore is the lesser of the two evils

I bought all these HD DVDs sealed because I didn't want to risk any scratches, some of them I got for $3, while others are more rare and I had to pay pretty much a Blu Ray price. Thanks for looking.

Without renting it first? Definitely not. It looks to have a plot as thick as a piece of paper.
