Gempulses Home Theater

Hey everyone I'm relatively new to the hobby of "home theatering." This is my basement room my parents built for me after I moved back to go to college here in my home town. It has a nice 'living room' area for my home theater and computer, then a bed room.

We just got done painting & laying carpet a couple of weeks ago, so please enjoy! :)

This is MY equipment - not my parents. I bought it all on my own working a ton.

Sorry got the lowish quality, these pictures were taken with my iphone.

Welcome and you are off to a great start;)

I see you made it over here. :)

Now this is where alot of question maybe asked of you... lol

My first question is, which models are the quintets?? I have the quintet III's in my bedroom, and the ones you have look totally different.

One question, in the second from last pic is that your cable feed? Have you thought about re-routing it lower?

Thanks guys, I really appreciate it.

I bought them over thanksgiving break from Best Buy.

I'm not sure what the model number is I threw the box away. The backs of them just have the serial number and say Klipsch Quintet

Great start! Looks like a really cool place to crash while in school. Really nice parents! Leave this site now if you want to save some cash, it's bad on the wallet. You have been warned.:D

Haha, this is my first real hobby, and I love it. I don't care how much it costs - there is always something to look forward too and save for.

Ahhh, you have the forth generation, I don’t think they didn't put the 'IV' like they did when I bought the third generation. They actually called them Quintet III’s

I know you love the towers over the little satellites, but they are some great little speakers. I want to get the larger center channel for my klipsch towers, I am currently using the center from the quintets and you already know that’s not doing a great job up against the towers.

Lol, yeah.... the Quintet's do sound great for how small they are its amazing. I might get a Yamaha 467 & set my a front stage in my bed room with the quintets then when I replace the rear quintets move them into my bedroom as well.

Great start Gempulse, I wish I had that kind of man cave growing up!

Another option would be to use the two extra Quintet's and add front height speakers. Just a thought.

Yeah, I was thinking about throwing together a 7.1 in the future - I need to figure out where I would place the speakers though.

Welcome buddy. Great job and nice looking speakers. Enjoy the site. These guys are great.

Looks like you have the room above your fronts on the wall for height speakers. I would try and see if you like the difference since you have two extra speakers.

Yeah that would definitely be sweet. I think I am going to be hanging 3 of these: http://www.atsacoustics.com/item--AT...8x4--1026.html

Along the back wall though behind the TV... which is my problem. I'd have to hang them higher I believe or maybe even off the ceiling.

Maybe you can fabricate a bracket to hang the speakers from the ceiling. Worth a test run since your cost is $0. The panels are a great idea and will help.
