This is the artwork that was rejected for the DVD set above.

Too much Last Crusade, not enough Temple of Doom.

Not really official..Store sites change release dates all the time, even Amazon. And I think that being the only site that we have found so far with that date speaks volumes.

Now don't get me wrong I would LOVE to get it in September instead of October, I just don't see the evidence that would make me jump for joy.

I agree for two reasons:
a) it doesn't include "The Young Indiana Jones"
b) they're still talking about another sequel.

So in either of those cases, it's most certainly not the complete adventures.

Cobra33 06-13-2012 07:43 PM

at this point its safe to assume there wont be a 5th, so this will be the complete set. cant wait!

Of course, couldn't be the 1st week in October to give me time to get more money, since September is already packed with stuff. This month had more stuff than what I want in September thats been announced so far,BUT September's price totals are ALOT higher than this months, and there will probably be more announced.

But still glad the set is coming out this year, and even tho I ranted about IF the RUMORED 5-Disc Count is accurate how I would be pissed I will BUY IT REGARDLESS.

Ryan1973 06-13-2012 10:34 PM

I hope the 4th movie is a new disc with better audio than what was on the first blu-ray release. I like DTS-HD more than Dolby TrueHD. Hopefully it matches the first three movies as far as audio and disc artwork go. Thats the least they can do for making people have to buy it over again if they already own the first blu-ray.

BStecke 06-13-2012 10:42 PM

Unless they did a new mix it wouldn't make any difference, and I don't know why they would. There really wasn't anything wrong with the audio on KOTCS

Its just me being OCD. lol When I buy a box set, I like all the movies in that box set to match as far as audio and disc artwork like Star Wars and Lethal Weapon were. I am sure the first three movies will have DTS-HD audio. If they are going to use the older blu-ray of the 4th movie in this box set, it shouldn't be included. They should just release a box set of the first three movies. Thats just my feeling on it.

I can't wait for this to come out. I'm looking forward to renting these movies on Blu-ray. (I have not seen them, sorry :()

Lucas was just saying two days ago how he's still working on the 5th one:

Not sure why you'd consider it safe that there wouldn't be another. It needs all 3 parties to approve the script, but they're working on it and all have said (at least in public) that they'd like to do it.

It would be a waste since the TrueHD track is already 24-bit and sounds spectacular, not to mention it takes up less space.

Depending who authored it the entire set may just possibly be TrueHD, with the new tools and the 96kHz oversampling.

IGN just confirmed the release date will be September 18th as well. http://www.ign.com/articles/2012/06/...-and-pre-order

I think everybody's in agreement here on September rather than October:

THE SOONER THE BETTER!

That would be interesting if they test that out :) It's a big title that can do a lot of publicity. Only read one person reviewing 96kHz in their studio and he wasn't impressed.
