But I'm all up for advancements like this since it works on all standard hardware and is a free upgrade for us consumers so hopefully we can try it out soon ourselves :) |

Heck, I'm still worried about the supposed changes to the colours in the opening jungle sequence. |
September is already an expensive month....oy, to hell with budget.

I remember when Ben Burtt was interviewed for the Super 8 Blu-Ray on the dolby insider youtube channel and he said he would like to do a 7.1 mix of the Indiana Jones films for the Blu-Ray release. In that interview he was talking about re-mixing order films for blu-ray.
|
Yes, I also remember that interview.
I would love to hear "Raiders..." or "Temple..." or "Crusade" in a 7.1 DTS HD MASTER AUDIO or DOLBY TRUE HD. Maybe this would be that "surprise" which is mentioned in the official press release. I think the producers, directors and other people should understand, that today cinema and home cinema is not the same as used to be in 1997 or 1998. The 5.1 channel surround sound is long outdated and prehistoric. The companies of sound (DOLBY and DTS) set the future for more and more channels. Today the 7.1 sound is standard in cinema and home. And I think that in near future it would be replaced by 9.1 or 9.2 (some A/V receivers can have 2 subwoofers) sound (for example DOLBY PRO LOGIC IIz) No matter how sound we get I will buy INDY BOX SET on blu-ray! And I'm happy that we will receive him one month sooner:D:D |
Agreed aronm. No matter if it is DTS HD Master Audio or Dolby True HD I would like to hear the Indiana Jones films in 7.1 Audio. I have a 5.1 Onkyo home theater system with DTS HD Master Audio or Dolby True HD. The model number of the Onkyo receiver I have is the TX-SR308 with Yamaha speakers and a subwoofer. Sure it's not the same as 7.1 but those 2 back surround channels are usually matrixed in the left and right surround channels anyway.

What are some of the other movies coming out in Sept that you will be buying?

90 dollars is a very high price for old titles on blu-ray.
That's $22,50 per movie. |

Now this year is becoming TO GOOD for Blu-Ray,lol. |
