I think it's safe to say that Indy and Titanic are about the last "big blockbusters" that we're still waiting on Blu-Ray for.

2011 was a good year--brought us plenty we were waiting for.

A few have already been announced (i.e. E.T.), but Indy and Titanic remain.

Shouldn't be too long now!

IDK... I think Jaws was a pretty big blockbuster we're all waiting for, Abyss is another. I think there are a bunch of blockbuster movies still waiting to see the light of day on Blu. Indy is probably one of the last series we're waiting for though. Can't wait to add it to my collection for sure.

Im still praying to the good Lord that we can buy these individually. I really only care for the first one. Please...... Please..... :D

ET has been officially announced? What's the date?

Not really announced, but Spielberg himself said that it's coming soon, most probably in 2012 (30th anniversary).

As do most people. I also only like the original film, but have decided to pass on Indy on Blu altogether. Considering how rarely I watch "Raiders," it's just not worth the cost of upgrading from the DVD, and there's no way I'd ever buy the box-set, which is probably the only way you'll be able to purchase the Indiana Jones films when they hit the format, at least to begin with.

 You do own high definition equipment right? I'd pay $100 for the Indy trilogy on BD. There's no question about that.

Yes. Though it appears we differ on what we'd be willing to spend for Indy on Blu. You'd spend $100, I'd spend $5...and even if I did buy the set, I'd give away "Temple of Doom" and "Last Crusade," and throw away "Crystal Skull," as that one wouldn't even be worth the time of trying to find someone I know who liked it...

Well sure Raiders is the best, but the other three films are still noteworthy in my book. I just want them all in 1080p with lossless audio. Hopefully, in the next year we will have Jaws and all of the Indy films on BD.

Blu-Benny 12-14-2011 06:48 PM

personally i can enjoy each indy movie for what it is and can't wait to own all 4 on blu!!

Rambaldi47 12-14-2011 08:09 PM

I'm sure the set will include Crystal Skull. I absolutely did not like it when I first saw it, but my expectations were really high, and the aliens thing really bothered me. For some reason, it just didn't seem right. I think now that it's been a few years and I know what I'm getting, I might not hate it as much.

Blu-Benny 12-14-2011 08:15 PM

i still don't understand why people had a problem w/the alien part of crystal skull.

indy was obviously going to be older and lived through the UFO thing in the 50's.....it's not so different than the ark of the covenant or the cup of christ. :shrug2:

Even though I'm one of those who dislike Crystal Skull, the aliens have never bothered me either.

Sense, this does not make.
