Steedeel, you bring this up in every thread about digital copies. I for one am not being dragged into this again with you. You don't like digital copies. We get it.

Because as stated, people like to watch stuff on airplanes, while on vacation, traveling, what have you.

I mean when was the last time you seen somebody walking around with a 42 tv and a blu ray player on a airplane...just saying....

Hope they have a connection on the airplane for this....

Hilarious! I was thinking the same.. “I don’t carry a Blu-ray player around with me..!” but now you’ve supplied a very apt image! Thank you! :D

Steedeel doesn’t like streaming either (see Netflix thread) Of course, entitled to an opinion, but we get it!

I think this technology helps Blu-ray technology if anything. Isn’t it good to be able to buy a product (the Blu-ray disc) and be able to watch it just about anywhere on several devices at your convenience! Really adds to value for money, in my opinion.

I commute, so would very handy for me. Can watch something on my phone, then resume on my TV, exactly like Netflix.

I’m yet to try UltraViolet (couldn’t find an official Android app in my app store – Ireland) so not sure it’s available here. But will certainly try it once it’s launched.

Because not everyone in the world thinks exactly like you. How do you not understand this. If everyone did think like you, the world would be a boring place....ditto me, ditto anyone else.
Some people don't have elaborate HT setups, and may be forced to watch "on the go"...whatever the reason it shouldn't viewed as backwards technology just because it doesn't get your stamp of approval.
I don't own a 3D tv, but I have bought a few 3D BD's thinking that when I do I'll have some 3D content....but going by your logic it's a waste.

Chordata 02-13-2012 06:12 PM

You guys are all correct, but as evidenced by all of his posts in the other threads and his post above ("Umm.....Great!"), he doesn't get it, and he'll never get it because he doesn't want to get it.

It's not worth it, believe me.

That's why I label him a Conern Troll. He doesn't like it, but that's what he is. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Concern...#Concern_troll

If he can provide me proof that he's not a Concern Troll, I'll gladly eat crow...but I've been saying that for about a year now! Oh well, proof is in the pudding!

Like I always say: People that don't get it, dont get that they don't get it!

Has anyone tried this with their iPhone yet? I'm curious if flixster has an app and if I can watch the movie the same way I watch iTunes. A problem I run into with Netflix is that if I'm in between towers it tends to stop playing. This doesn't always work with a toddler. So I like that I can play a movie without interruption through my phone.

It definitely has a Flixster app -- I have it but haven't tried it yet.

Ray_Rogers 02-13-2012 08:36 PM

Didn't the studios try this same thing with DIVX? I'm going to boycott it since I prefer having physical media of the movies, video games and etcetera of what I own.

neoz 02-13-2012 08:54 PM

I haven't tried it yet but I have DL'd the app and signed up for both a UV account and Flixster account. A pain yes but my little one likes some of the titles that are only bundled with the UV.

I do like when studio's offer both the UV and the itunes DC, they should do that more often.

And Ray I love my physical media too as my collection shows it. But having the ability to have a movie I can take on the go is great. Gives me something to do while I'm killing time at the Dr. or other places.

I don't think we'll ever see the death of psychical media in this lifetime but maybe in the future I'm sure more people will stream.

Rick you can label me what you like. Your opinion is worth nothing to me. It really is not.

I'll try to press on knowing this.

Star Wars Guy 02-14-2012 03:24 AM

Got my discs for the digital copies of both Hangover 2 and Green Lantern in the mail today. Only took a couple of weeks.

A predictable 'lol' comment from another poster. How original.

Chordata, maybe your just not as invested in bluray as many of us are. Just my opinion. Seventy five bluray discs is kind of sit on the fence to me?

Another non-sequitur, lucky us! [Now, quick, think of something else to say that has nothing to do with the merits of the posts. Make fun of my dog or something.]

EDIT: You actually edited your post to add the other non-sequitur/ad hominem attack with an irrelevant 'jab' at my BD collection? Attack the poster, not the post, eh Steedeel? Can't take the fact that people disagree with you, so you turn to innane personal jabs (while at the same time refusing to disclose how many or which BDs you yourself have....hmm)

You're too much man. You've gotta be pulling our legs and we're all just falling for it. Either way, I'm not playing the game and getting sucked into your vortex any longer. I'm not going to let you dupe me into a suspension or ban. Good day, and good luck. ;)
