You definitely need to pick it up. The AQ is incredible and the PQ is outstanding. The only drawback is that it's over 3 hours long

That's not a drawback. More to love! :p

Love the 1933 version and mildly enjoy the remake. It's Jackson's re-remake that I found mediocre. I think the obvious CGI and Jack Black ruined it for me.

Yeah I thought it was odd that Jack Black was in the movie. The CGI looked cool to me and giant bugs gave me the hibbie jibbies :ohnoes:

I saw the 70's remake at the theatre when I was a kid and didn't like it even then. The Jackson remake is better. I can stomach Jack Black so it wasn't that bad :D

I really hope Universal release Slap Shot on blu this year. But it will probably just happen in my dreams...:(

update: I just saw that it is listed on Amazon, so maybe there is hope after all...

Universal SOULD have released the original 'The Mummy' (1932) on Blu-ray FIRST. The 1999 version is already on Blu-ray. Boris Karloff's version deserves to be released. I know the Universal Monsters are supposedly coming but, it's just annoying how we get 2 or 3 releases of the same sh!t and nothing or more deserving films.

This has probably been asked before, but is Jurassic Park getting an 100th anni release? I see the UK is getting some sort of release Here, but I much prefer a US version to match the other anni titles.

I'd love for this to happen too. Skipped out on the trilogy pack as I only want the original.

I wish they would release them separately. I think $50 is too much for just a trilogy for me. Maybe it will drop down to the $30 range around Black Friday or lower :ohnoes:.

A mere $16.67 per film.

People are spoiled.

Could always import the UK one. Same discs slightly different packaging.

$33 before delivery.

Or if there's no release this year in the US of the 1st one than next year there will be for sure.

Agreed. I paid $35 for my set. Tough to beat $11.66 per movie with 1 being fantastic, 2 being mediocre, and 3 being decent.

Or $50 a film when all I want is the first one....

That Jurassic Park set was in the $20 range last black friday.

Also I really hope Mallrats gets released soon, although if it doesn't have anything new (Commentaries, documentaries, etc), I probably wouldn't upgrade. Kevin Smith usually packs his DVD/Blu-rays, and if they are rereleases he usually adds new stuff.

I also hope Mallrats comes out soon, too. It's the only "Askewniverse" movie that is not on Blu-Ray yet, and I have all of the rest of them.
