This is from the Amazon Prime page:

Prime members also receive FREE Standard shipping on millions of items sold by Amazon and on items sold by sellers that are fulfilled by Amazon. This includes packages shipped to Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico (may take up to 7 business days for delivery). It also includes shipments to addresses where faster shipping methods aren't available such as P.O. Boxes in the contiguous United States and APO/FPO addresses with U.S. ZIP codes.
Your order may ship via USPS though since UPS and FedEx don't deliver to P.O. Boxes; at least not the last time I checked. Most of my orders come by UPS by Amazon also uses FedEx and USPS.

so I can use prime, ship to my P.O. box and it'll still arrive in 2 days?

No. They will use USPS and it will take several days. You won't have to pay shipping costs for any Prime eligible items no matter the price of the item.

Depends on the USPS method used by Amazon and where it's shipped from. I've had Amazon ship packages by USPS first-class mail and had the packages arrive within 2 business days. If it's shipped from across the nation it may take a bit longer to arrive. They may also use priority mail on occassion too.

It depends on how far you are from the warehouse. Most of my amazon prime orders ship UPS, but the few that have shipped via USPS, (usually over a long weekend or something where USPS works out just as fast as 2-day UPS) all shipped Priority Mail, which should be delivered in 2-3 days anywhere in the country. First Class will generally arrive just as fast. So, if the warehouse is no more than a state or two away, I could see amazon opting to go that route, but the USPS alots up to 5 days for longer distances, like going coast to coast.

Another question:

The free month trial. When it ends, do they automatically charge you for the $79?

No, they will not, but by then they will probably have you hooked. Which is why I recently paid for Amazon Prime after my trial expired. To me it is so worth it. You get your items super fast and get to pay Amazon's great prices. Sometimes you get your item the next day. You can upgrade to next-day shipping for a small fee, if necessary. Best of all, you don't have to buy another item if you only plan on getting one item, just to get the free slower shipping. It is really convenient and you will find yourself going to stores less and less. As an added bonus, you get video on demand. I can imagine they will hike the price eventually.

oh boy...I just sounded like an Amazon salesman. :bitenails:

How much extra do you have to pay for next-day delivery if you have Prime?

If you pre-order a new release on the Friday before it comes out, do you get it on release day?

An added perk to Prime is on demand videos. I recently took advantage of this on my PS3. Lots of free videos too, and some of them are recent, like "Goon". Many TV series in HD too, such as Lost.

I don't think I'll unsubscribe from Prime anytime soon.

Actually, YES, they will. That is, unless you go into your settings and make sure you uncheck the automatic renewal box. I had this happen to me, though I had planned to continue on with the paid membership anyway.

Yup, I just started (ab)using the PS3 app. Made it through the first 2 seasons of Prison Break in about a week (had never seen the 1st season, and just to decided to rewatch the rest). Moving on to Firefly and then X-Files after it's done!

Where do I find this?

Oh, great. Trying to do the one month free Prime trial and it says my physical address is invalid.
