Rumor has it that the man ^ lurks here (by folks that track that sort of thing).

Just to put this to rest: Will we ever see DTS-MA upgrade for the PS3 or is that simply not possible for the system to do?

Thanks

Let me see if I can track down where the hell our SCEA Insider is now that CES is over with and things should be calming down for him.

Hi Penton one question... Will we see Amazon BOGOF at some time in the future, or is that a thing of the past? Obviously, I am not asking for a specific date, just wanted to know if that strategy remains viable at this point?

Since there's NO player right now that does it. I'am pretty sure Sony will put it when a couple of player will.. right now we have

DENON 3800 at Feb, and Panasonic BD50k in April

So add a month of two.. so maybe this summer..

They did the same thing with p1.1, waited 1 month after the first player was available.

I hope the next telemarketer that calls me hasn't heard this. I'm going to be sitting by my phone all day.:D

A quick heads-up to fellow mods and members…………..

I notice that a personal friend of mine, from another forum, who goes by the handle of “mpsan” has recently become a new member of our forum.
If he has any Blu-ray questions, I would appreciate it if you help him out.... as he’s a good mate.

Thanks :)

Here you go.... Do you ever see a day when we can finally know who you really are? Right now you seem like this.......

"Good morning Penton."

Warren Beatty played a huge stud. I mean one moment with the daughter (not his) and the next moment with her mother.
Do you remember the under-the-table scene with Julie Christie?

PM, I do indeed remember this film. And I recall it was, at least my first screening, of Carrie Fisher, on film!

LOL that's a good one. We may never know who Penton-Man is let alone at the end of the format war.

Marlon Brando's property was bought by Jack Nicholson after Brando's death. Jack demolished Brando's house after the purchase as it was too infected with mold. Prior to his death, Marlon Brando was a property line neighbor to Jack.

Warren Beatty is a neighbor to Jack Nicholson in the sense that they live in the same neighborhood but their properties are not adjacent to each other. Jack would have to hop in a car to go visit Warren.

I think I solved the mystery:

Re: Shampoo

Ah yes, I remember this film. I first saw it in a drive-in theater - remember those :). I was with 4 women friends at the time - ahh those were the days.

Hey guys,
Somebody just PM’ed me a very interesting post from the HDD forum. I confess I don’t read their forum and I shall now provide my first link to it. It is a post on HDD (the first post at the top of the page) which actually directs you to a post on AVS of all places. Damn, it seems like there is a lot of cross pollination on all these internet forums.

Here ya go (note the date of the original post that you are directed to on AVS is 1/18/08) ………………
http://forums.highdefdigest.com/showthread.php?t=37754

Hmm, it seems like this is deja-vu in regards to the BestBuy idea, except of course for the addition of a predicted time line. Where did I read this before?

I know…………………..
From three days earlier on 1/15/08 on this forum…………
http://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.ph...0&postcount=13

Hmm, it seems like Amir is not the only dude that reads this thread. ;)

O.K.
For any people that want to strive for “Insider-ship” honors on their own blog or other places, I see that Dave has already picked Q2’08. So that leaves a whole lot of quarters left for you guys to hit an “Insider” home run.

Just take Dave’s original post from AVS then substitute for the word Q2’08 either Q1’08 or Q3’08 or Q4’08, hell you can even choose some quarter in ’09 as the year 2009 is wide open…..but remember Dave’s choice is already reserved and taken. Just use common sense on this, it aint that hard.

B.T.W. – make sure you phrase your post exactly as he did i.e. “I will be surprised” as it guarantees eventual *wiggle room* later on.

Honest to goodness, I think that one of these days I just may throw out a red herring to see how many other “insiders” run with it on other forums…..three days later, with their own spin.

P.S.
HDD is the place that Peter Bracke does movie reviews, correct?
Well Peter, if you read this thread, Claire says “Happy Blu Year” :) from the Capra building, if your memory hasn’t faded.
