Hi..not quite sure what you mean by "new members need to log in several posts B4 they can start a thread"

I tried posting a question on a forum and it never appeared. Are you saying I need to comment on someone's thread a few times before I can start my own thread about a question I may have?

I'm not technically saavy to give anyone advice. I'm LOOKING for help. Trust me I am in no position to give any advice on this stuff.

I guess I can post my opinions of DVDs on that forum if it helps me get my question posted on another forum. Is that what I need to do?

The forum has a large movie section, sports, general chat, ect. Some posts are requiered from members before they can start threads. Perhaps the question has been already asked and answered?
