let us know the outcome. Simply state to them, "if I wanted a refurbished remote, I would have bought a refurbished remote". Simple as that.

You should volunteer to drunkenly call up Logitech and start arguing with them..."THE LIGHTS UNDER THE TOUCHSCREEN DON'T COME ON"

That's such a sneaky and unfair thing some businesses do. Verizon does the same thing with their cell phones. I used to have a Chocolate, and so did my wife. THEY BOTH BROKE. They were both replaced by refurbs that also broke, granted about three years later so out of warranty. Now we have the new enVs, and my wife's has already quit working and hers was replaced by.... you guessed it! A refurbished model. I can see how doing this saves them money, but there's just no logic to it.

I would be very cautious in accepting a refurbished item that has a touch screen. That's the one and only thing a Best Buy employee has ever taught me (ironically regarding purchasing the Harmony 1000 or Harmony One refurbished). I can't remember exactly why; something about the sensors under the touch screen, and you not knowing what they've been through.

According to Logitech it's not really refurbished as Logitech doesn't require you to send the defective unit back to them. It is simply shipped in a plain box, not like a box you would buy at a store. They said they stand behind their product so if there is any problem just call them. We'll see I guess.

Any one use a type of screen protector with the touch screen? If so, where do you find them?

Logitech Harmony 880???

My wife has found the 880 for $129.99, and we're most likely going to purchase it. My question for 880 owners out there is:

Do you have any complaints about the 880?

The only negative I've seemed to find online is that the charging bases can go bad. Just wanted to get some owners' two cents worth on it. (1.25 cents - adjusted for current economy)

Thanks!

I sent you a PM I think you'll find useful. I recommend the One, but I'm sure the 880 is a great remote as well.
