Bought a Logitech Harmony 1100 touchsreen last week. Loving it so far and a major upgrade from my Sony AX4000 touchscreen. Still need to buy the Ps3 adapter though.

I'm a proud owner of the Harmony 720 for 3 years. I just purchased the Harmony 900 on ebay last night for $289 and I can't wait till it arrives. Since I bought the new Samsung LED tv I thought is was a good time to upgrade my remote as well.

I have successfully programed my new Harmony One. Not only have I set up all my equipment and activities, I was also able to program it to control my oscillating fan and the multicolor LED backlighting on my TV. This remote is very very awesome!

So I received an e-mail from Harmony stating that there is a class action settlement in the works for Harmony 1000 owners. Anyone else get this email?

"If you are an individual who – while residing in the United States between January 21, 2007 and October 15, 2009 – owned a Harmony® 1000 Advanced Universal Remote (“H1000”) which was marketed, distributed, and sold by Logitech, Inc. (“Logitech”) in the United States you may be eligible to receive a product replacement from Logitech pursuant to a class action settlement"

Thanks! I couldn't find it

georgeybanez 11-03-2009 08:32 PM

my ps3 adaptor for harmony remote just stoped working does anyone know how to reset it.

PrimeBane 11-03-2009 10:20 PM

Try unplugging it and letting it sit. If that doesn't work you may need to pair it with the PS3 again.

georgeybanez 11-04-2009 01:32 AM

how do i do that (pair it with the ps3)

Alright...figured this was the right place to come to. I have never had a universal remote and have been wanting to grab one for some time now. I just got a $50 off coupon from best buy for the Logitech 700 Remote....Is this a good buy for around $90?
Is it easy to program and work with?
Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Harmony 1 VS Harmony 900

Hi

I posted this a few days ago on a different web site.... never got an awnser... I hope you guys can help me out

I have a dilemma...

I just bought a Harmony 1 remote... still in the box.
Moving in 2 weeks and I think that instead of setting up everything in the living room... I will "hide" everything in a different room (about 20 feet away) from my TV

The guy at the shop said that instead of paying an additionnal 200$ to change my Harmony 1 to Harmony 900, that I can buy a RF extender for about the same price and that the "quality" of the signal will be better!?

I would like your feedback on that... he gave me an exemple as to when I would press "giude" on my Illico and scroll up.. it would be a lot faster and instant with the RF extender than the Harmony 900 where it usually "stalls" and then go up 4-5 shots all at once

So... price is the same... seems to me that just having the remote would be better than hooking up all these RF stickers and wires on all my components...

Help!

Thanks

Dan

I think you mean IR extender.

I'm not sure which would be faster. Personally, I would like the 900 with the dedicated color buttons.

Sorry I could not be more helpful.

Dan_atc 11-07-2009 11:39 AM

Yes that's what I meant

Sorry.. I'm new at this!! :)

What do you mean by "dedicated color buttons"... the Harmony 1 does not have that compared to the 900?

Thanks again

You could use this with your Harmony One:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/re.../6347&cl=us,en

or this with the Harmony 900:
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/re...s/378&cl=us,en

Both would be better than hooking up all those RF stickers and wires on all your components...
either way, can't go wrong.

Just picked up a Harmony One yesterday...Think I have it figured out for the most part....one thing I need help with if you guys don't mind. I have the activity set up to Watch TV and it turns on everything correctly but puts the TV on channel 4 instead of 3. I've been through the different options 3 or 4 times and can't seem to find how to fix it :(

QUESTION, I currently own the Harmony 880, i bought the 1100 yesterday, i have figured out not after a little misunderstanding with the wording fro0m Harmony that the 1100 will not operate my Hunter ceiling fan or light, b/c the 1100 is not RF, is there any benefit now keeping the 1100 over my 880 they both control the same thing? Input would be appreciated.

I use my 1100 to run my fan. I purchased a Lutron Maestro IR fan/light remote controlled dimmer switch, put it in place of the on/off switch on the wall and it works perfectly.

But you could also do the same with your 880.

Harmony One

Hi all,

I am an owner of an older Harmony 550 and it's functional, but the slow response time from the remote to the hardware has always annoyed me.

I was thinking of upgrading to the Harmony One but wanted to make sure the remote was more responsive or that folks didnt' have an issue with the responsiveness.

Can owners weigh in? Thanks.

Dead NAD Remote

I have a NAD T762 (which I love). The remote just died. :( I can either buy a replacement for ~$55 or go with the great Amazon deal and get a Harony One with a free PS3 adapter for $180.

The Harmony seems like a no brainer, especially since my wife can't turn on the Home Theater given the three to six remotes it now requires.

My only hesitation is whether the NAD is in the Logitech database, since I can't use my old remote to program the Harmony.

Is there a site where I can check to see if the NAD is a supported device?

Thanks
