Here's the best way I can explain what I'm after.. I think. The only 'activity' I want the 1100 to do is turn on/off my processor, amp, pj, PPPs, & sat receiver. After that is done, I want individual control of all my gear. I want to turn on my BD player and select when I want to switch inputs. Not have an activity decide when it's time for me.

Anyone own a Logitech Harmony 650? It's on sale this weekend at Best Buy for $69 and I was thinking about picking it up. I was wondering if it was any good.

Does anyone experience some functions stop working after awhile?
I have the 520 and for example on my pioneer Receiver I can't use the arrow buttons to move up or down using the menu anymore. There is probably some others but at the moment I can't think of them. |

I ain't saying that it is the case in your situation, but only from what I am awared of in the past. * I suggest you call Logitech Harmony customer support, and explain your situation to them (a friend of mine was sent a new 550 free, even after the warranty period time expired)! :) |

Get the 1100 only. It is a great remote. They use to be $499.00 now Logitech has them for sale for $299.99 on their web site. |

Also there is an IR extender as well that looks almost exactly like the RF extender. So you want the RF extender, NOT the cheaper IR extender. |
I got a question about the battery in the remotes that have a cradle. Does having the remote on the cradle and constantly charging shorten its battery's life? I know keeping your laptop plugged to the wall all the time does shorten the lithium ion battery's life. This is the same w/ power tools' lithium ion batteries.
On my 900, I do not think the cradle has a sensor that can sense the remote is fully charged nor does it have a shut off feature. Someone correct me if I am wrong. |
I tried to skim this article as much as I could to find my answer, but there's just so many pages of responses, I cant read through everything..
The question I've got is, does the Harmony One support third-party Z-wave capabilities? |

Just ordered my Logitech Harmony 1100 yesterday from Amazon. $279 with free 2 day shipping as I am a Prime member.
Can't wait for it to arrive. I can't tell you how many times the cleaning lady has accidentally goofed up all inputs / volumes, etc. trying to figure out my remotes just to have some music on in the background  - Scott |

I just purchased a Harmony One the other day. I'm loving it.
However, I've got a quick question. I read in the little setup guide that there will be a "green light" that signifies the remote has finished charging. However, no matter how long I keep the remote on the cradle, I dont see any sort of "green light" anywhere. If I move the cradle and remote (not disconnecting the remote from the cradle) so that it turns on the screen, it always shows the charging sign on it with the quarter-full battery and the lightning bolt in the middle of the screen. Is my Harmony One charging correctly? The tiny battery icon in the top right corner looks fully charged, but I just dont see any indication other than that, that it is "fully" charged |
