Cool thanks! Gonna wait until after Christmas to buy these two pieces in case I get any Best Buy or Amazon gift Cards. Can't wait to FINALLY have a Harmony universal, on my iPad 2 no less :D Oh, and your avatar is pretty awesome. The End.

I don't know if this helps you out or not, but I'm using a Harmony One and a Harmony PS3 bluetooth adapter. It runs smoothly about 90-95% of the time. The only issue I encounter is that sometimes the PS3 won't shut down using the remote like it's supposed to. In these instances I always have to turn it off manually. Overall I'm very happy with these devices though. YMMV.

How long did it take for your battery to start losing performance? I think it's been 2 years since I've had mine and my harmony definitely doesn't keep a charge as long as before :(

I plug my Harmony in every night and doing so, I have never noticed if the battery has decreased in performance or not.

I've had my One for almost 3 years now and I make it a point to only charge the battery when the battery level indicator turns red. I haven't noticed any loss of battery life yet.

Have you checked the battery recently though (physically)?

They have a tendency to swell and become near impossible to remove.

I popped the cover off a couple of days ago (I don't remember why now) and nothing out of the ordinary caught my eye. I'll take a better look at it when I get home from work today.

Swelling is often (not always) associated with overcharging rechargeable batteries in my experience.

Follow-up: I popped my battery out when I got home this morning and has swollen a very little bit. It's actually hard to see, but you can feel it. Time for a new one.

Follow-up Take 2: I just ordered a new battery. Logitech wants $29.99 for one and I don't know what the shipping charge would be. I bought one off of Ebay for $9.48 shipped. It has all the same specs as the original.

Steve 12-22-2011 06:34 PM

Update: I received the new battery today that I bought from a guy on Ebay for my Harmony One. It shows no signs of wear and I don't see anything about it to lead me to believe that it's not new. Obviously it does not say Logitech on the sticker, but it's the same size and shape and has the same contact points. It matches the Logitech branded battery in all specs that I can see printed on the label.

Li-ion rechargeable
950mAh
3.7V

It put it in my remote and it booted right up and shows about 3/4 of a full charge. I'll use it like my old one, only charging it when necessary.

Not bad for less than 1/2 the price of a new battery from Logitech IMO.

Does anybody find it kind of odd there wasn't been an firmware update since 2009/10? Still 7.7.0:confused:

Anyone else kind of find it annoying that for the price of the 1100, it's screen is just junk? Mine is having a few issues and I just can't seem to bring myself to order another one. Anyone have insight as to the release of an updated unit? One with the screen from my Galaxy S II would be awesome!

I have had my Harmony 550 remote for the past three years and it works fine, but I figured it was time for a upgrade. I ended up buy the Harmony one remote the other day I am loving it.

Hey guys before paying for a battery call Logitech technical help first and tell them it's swollen. Mine was waaay out of warranty and they still sent me a new one for free.
