Thought this Cnet piece about Harmony remotes was quite interesting:

Five ways Logitech can improve Harmony remotes.

Contained some stuff I didn't know - like the 5-step maximum for sequence support, and the fact that the 900 & 1100 doesn't even include sequences!

Any help appreciated.

I am the new owner of a harmony 1 remote I think I have all the kinks worked out other than in all my pre sets when I hit power off everything turns off ...... but my reciever (Yamaha) turns back on and I have to turn it off individully.

Is this happening no matter which activity you're shutting down? Every time?

Also have you tried walking through the troubleshooting steps for your receiver in the programming software on your computer?

Still waiting for logitech to release a patch so i can finally use the Harmony 1100 on Mac's Lion OS.

Thanks god it was a present, but still... :(

I had the same experience. Also, I just noticed that my One is not holding a charge for any amount of time. If I take it off the charger in the morning it will be giving me the low battery warning by dinner time -- 8 hours or so.

On another note, but I thought the Link now had customization capabilities (I have really been out of touch on this product)... Problem is, I can't figure out where to go to make the changes. Nothing obvious on the iPad app itself... Nothing obvious on the MyHarmony.com config website... Any thoughts???

After reading most of this thread I went ahead and purchased the Harmony 1100 remote. Thinking back I do not know why I waited so long to invest in this product. I had a tray on the coffee table with 6 remotes in it and my wife was frustrated and kept complaining she can't watch TV in the living room without stressing over which remotes to use. Now all she has to do is press the Play TV activity or Play DVD activity and it good to go. Thanks everybody for all the input in this thread.

Question regarding the RF system with the 900.

Can I replace the mini-blasters with straight 1/8" male to male cables and run it straight from the main blaster to the back of devices IR inputs (Pioneer vsx1326/oppo bdp93)?

Would be great to find out when you do. Also seems like they are planning to release a successor to the Harmony One in the coming months.

I'm thinking about buying one for my Home Theater.

The 900 looks nice to me. I like the backlit buttons since my HT is fully light controlled, I need RF because all my equipment will be in a small closet behind me.

In the closet will be:
PS3
Xbox 360
Denon 4810CI
Possibly an Oppo 93

Question though. Since my consoles will be in a closet behind me is there any way to make the PS3 and 360 controller RF? Or do I need a IR relay?

Does anyone know if the harmony link works with android tablets yet?

The PS3 controllers are bluetooth so no problem there...

The 360 controllers are RF, no problems either! :)

Not that I've read. Really wish I could use my Kindle Fire, the 1100's junk screen annoys the poo out of me.
