It should be in the activity "watch TV". Manually put it in if need be. Tell me more and I'll try to help you out. I've hade the 1000 since it came out and now the 1100. I love it but they swapped all the buttons on me!:D

I have all the tv activities however I don't see any option
to view DVR thus I can't access my DVR,unless I'm missing something.

You mentioned manuelly setting it up could you explain I bit more?

Ok, so when you watch tv it's through a SA 8300 box ? What you are saying is that when you pick the Activity watch TV everything comes on correctly but you have zero control over the DVR? Or the DVR (SA 8300) does not come on at all? When you are looking at your activities , you have watch tv. Underneath it you will see the devices used in the activity. Is the SA 8300 in the watch TV activity? Manually - You can always add a device to an activity such as "watch tv". We will get you fixed up. :)

Thanks again,

when I chose "watch tv" the SA 8300 does power on and I have control over
chosing channels- I also have the play/pause option upper left of screen
what I don't have(or am not noticing) is any option to view DVR.
On the SA 8300 remote I have a "My DVR" or "My List"
which accesses my recordings to the DVR along with options to
record programs in the future.

In a nutshell I'm not seeing any options on the 1100 as configured for the SA 8300.

Try "menu" that will bring up the option to go to the DVR list. If you dont have "Menu" (normally right under "guide") as a touch button by "info" when in pause/play or any of the others also , you can always add it. I use Menu to DVR list and im looking at my rec. shows/movies. Let me know if this helps? :)

Add the "list" button to the right or left side where you have menu, info A,B,C Live. Try putting list in where live is at . We have different cable providers but the same frickin box... Let me know what happens. All else fails take pictures and I can see what it all looks like. You can get to list through the star button in the corner (bottom right) of the remote , hit devices , pick your DVR a d go through the 4pgs or so but I KNOW you have to have an easier quicker way like menu. When u hit menu where does it take u?

ok I tried using learn a command and stored "my dvr" to the 1100 from my Comcast remote then tried custom buttons

thought I placed it correctly but no luck

I must be doing some thing wrong. You asked what happens if I press menu
the same as if I press guide a listing of channells and programming by time

help still needed

zodiak 04-05-2011 02:00 AM

Ok finaly found both list and the command I put in my dvr

I wasn't navigating the device correctly, however I'm curiuos you said try moving list to live. How do I go about that?

Thanks again for being so helpful

Ok. Hook up to your computer and check to make sure the menu button is in fact locked in as menu and coming from your DVR. Because it should not be the same as guide. On the 1000 they were the same like that , but they gave u a list button.... Go through the list of button comand options you have where menu is setup, this on the computer that I talking about. Do you know how to set custom buttons up and change the ones like menu were talking about? Cause that's gunna be it. Ill be glad to PM you back and forth. Where are you located? (PM)....

Greetings,
Does anybody else find it kind of strange that Logitech hasn't put out a new software upgrade since like last summer?! I would at least like them to upgrade their equipment list to include blu-rays instead of the old fashion DVD. More themes would be great. Its a great remote and those are the only things I would update on it.

I'm asking if you know how to do this in my last post. I saw this one you wrote right after. When u open the Logitech app on your computer, from the main page it opens to , look at your watch tv activity go to customize buttons. It open to your hard buttons. You will see the button device and command. You will also see the pause/play,123,star and heart, you can click on anyone and see your right and left side bars and change them. Go from there if you have anymore questions ask away. Happy to help anyway I can.

Hi guys, My Harmony 880 pretty much took a crap. I have been using it in my bedroom ever since I got a 1100 a year or two ago. First, the damn thing doesn't charge when you put it on the cradle, I even tried taping the remote to the cradle figuring this would have to work. Nope, it didn't work. I have tried placing heavy objects on it while it is on the cradle, nope. So one day I tried to take the battery out and broke one of the plastic prongs off on the battery cover. I ordered a new cover from Logitech but when I put the new one on it won't close because the battery is too thick, so I tried to force the cover on and damn it!, I broke off one of those plastic prongs. So I gave up on the damn thing and put it down in the basement. Does anyone have any tips or have you had these issues also:)

Just wanted to let you all know about the outstanding customer service I received from Logitech.

My Harmony 700 died on me at the beginning of this week (blank screen and unresponsive). I called them and was told I was beyond the 1 year warranty by almost 3 months! They first offered to give me a 50% off coupon good towards a new Harmony, but I then asked if they could check and see if they could do anything else for me. I was then told that I would receive a one time courtesy replacement, not refurbished, but brand new!

I just got it today via UPS, and not only is the Harmony 700 replacement new, it is a factory sealed full retail box! Now I have an extra charger and set of rechargeable batteries as well!

Thank you Logitech, you have yet another loyal customer! :D

bobbydrugar 04-29-2011 10:09 PM

hey all just wanted to post a brief review of my experience with the Harmony 900. First off this is replacing my Harmony One which I still use when the 900 is in the charging dock and all I can say is WOW. Not only does the 900 do everything that the harmony one does as far as infra-red but it adds the RF capabilities as well. There was just one major issue I had and that is what appears to be an incompatibility of the harmony 900 USB hardware and the drivers available on windows 7 64bit edition. fortunately my old standby vista 32Bit machine worked flawlessly and I was able to config away. I will also point out that on screen button response is a little slower then the one but all in all this thing is fantastic. Highly recommended

Can someone help me, so I don't have to search through all the thread pages on how to set up the remote so I don't have to switch back and forth between devices when changing the channel on the cable box and adjusting the volume on the TV. It is super annoying to have to switch back and forth, and I pretty sure there is a way to do this simultaneously...:confused:

BIslander 05-09-2011 12:05 PM

It's part of the Activity setup. On the TV activity, you tell it you want the channel buttons to control the device where the tuning is done and the volume buttons to control the device that handles the sound.

PeterTHX 05-09-2011 09:22 PM

Well, just replaced the battery on my Harmony One.

What a nightmare. The battery had "swollen" and was near impossible to get out. Logitech recommends you call their service if this happens: the battery may leak. I got lucky with my pliers, but scraped the hell out of the insides.

You all may want to check to see if your current battery is still easy to pop in and out.

JayLew84 05-13-2011 04:52 PM

I've owned a Harmony 880 for over 2 years and have been thrilled with it. My wife can now operate the surround sound system without asking me which remote goes to which device. Her more frequent use of the media room has made greasing the wheels for equipment upgrades much easier! Thank you Logitech! But damn you blu-ray.com for showing me all the cool crap I can't afford yet!

sk33tr 06-21-2011 05:39 AM

i purchased the harmony 1100 from best buy a few months ago.

couldn't be happier.

i really like how you can add our own icons of your favorite channels to the touchscreen.

and i recently purchased the rf-bluetooth adapter for my ps3 so i can control it with the 1100 now instead of using two remotes.

this remote replaced the harmony 720, which i gave to my best friend.

I feel your pain Peter i had the same problem with my Harmony one my battery had internal leak and got swollen but with a little patients was able to take it out with some really thin long pliers minor scraped but still it was a nightmare.

Red Pill 101 07-01-2011 05:41 AM

Any advise is appreciated...

I have a Harmony One. I've really never had a problem with it until now:

The right and down directional buttons on the 4-way direction pad require a good hard press to work. I've verified that it is in fact the remote, and not a strong enough signal being sent from the remote. As you may know, the press of any button causes the 'radio waves' light to light up on the display (top right next to the battery icon).

Well, it's difficult to send a signal when pressing the above-mentioned buttons. You really have to press the direction pad.

I was going to try Harmony phone support until I saw it was $29. This remote is a little over a year old and is extremely well taken care of.

What do you advise I do?

Any help is most appreciated.

Thanks much.

ckenisell 07-01-2011 12:14 PM

If it is VERY well taken care of and you can polish it to like new condition, I suggest you set it back to factory default, go buy a new one, swap them out and return it. That's the "guilty conscience" way to do it, but the way I see it, manufactures should build better products and, should they fail right after their warranty is up, I'm gonna do what I can to get it taken care of.

Honestly, yes, it looks brand new. Call it OCD, call it what you want (no offense taken) but one would not even find a finger print on it.

I didn't think there was a way to reset them back to defaults. I had thought about doing your suggestion, though. No Bullsh!t! This thing has never been bumped, dropped, scratched, etc. It's an expensive purchase to have these problems with so soon.

Thanks for your reply.

AudioFenix 07-21-2011 10:06 PM

Anyone ever see these new on deep discount much? I'm considering the Harmony One but can't rationalize spending even $160 on it. Maybe $100? Also, the One has been out for a wile now. Any word on a new remote coming out anytime soon?
