Hey Patrick....that stinks working tomorrow.....hang in there! But I feel the same way with my kids toys coming this x-mas (even though he is only 2 1/2 yrs old). Lego's rule (or in my son's case, Duplos. :) )

I hope you have a Merry Christmas! :santa:

This will be a BIG issue for FedEx. I see that they issued an apology yesterday, but I think it will still kill their business.

What are you doing today? Gonna pop in BSG?

I mis-read this post, that's they I thought you had BSG. I didn't read it as you were asking him, if he was going to watch it. I totally mis-read that.

HAMP, I am going to attempt to be the last hold out. I think at the moment it is just me and HTG.

Thanks Callas, right back at you! Any big plans? We are going to my parents house tonight and do Christmas with them, but they live in the same town, so no big traveling.

Morning HTG, I don't have that kind of self restraint. Watching the kids open presents is one of my favorite things to do!

I was exhausted last night and fell asleep while watching MI:III. We have been trying to watch the first three so we can go see the new one. Maggie Q is so spectacular in that movie!

The kids were ready to see what Santa had left. I am somewhat spoiled in the fact that I usually buy quite a bit of things that I want through the year. So I am pretty tough to buy for at Christmas. My wife tries, but I am pretty spoiled. I did get a couple of cool tshirts and some North Face clothing that I all ways wear. My son got a couple of cool games, so I can play those with him (MW3 and Star Wars the force unleashed II).

Did you get anything spectacular??

Spectacular? No. My mom sent me a pkg of various things a week or so ago. Had a couple nice flannel shirts which will come in handy these next few months.

phansson 12-28-2011 02:16 PM

Hey HTG and BZ, how are you guys? My wife and I caught the new "girl with a dragon tattoo" last night. It was actually quite good. It was still weird to me that Americans can't watch a subtitled movie so the U.S. studios have to "remake" good foreign films! The things that I thought were weird were all of the store names, newspaper articles, products were in Swedish and then the actors all spoke with a Swedish accent, but spoke Swedish, even Robin Wright Penn. To me that was kind of bizarre.....

Just waiting until this weekend, we are going to Florida for a couple of days. Should be a good trip.

What have you guys been up to?

Waboman 12-28-2011 04:34 PM

Hey phansson.

Have fun in FL. Will you be ringing in the New Year down there?:martini:

Afternoon Wabo,

Yes we will be ringing in the new years in Appalachicola Florida. We have some good friends that just purchased a house there. It is right on the beach, 50' from the water. They also have a private plane so we will be big timing it and flying down.

It is all ways nice to have very wealthy friends....:D

What are your plans for the new year?

hometheatergeek 12-28-2011 04:50 PM

Wow Patrick that should be a  trip then. You'll be "stylin' and profilin'" in the New Year. You might have to change your name to Ric Flair for the weekend and bleach your hair blond of course. :p

phansson 12-28-2011 04:52 PM

I'm not quite that old yet.....

The scary thing is Rick Flair is in A LOT better shape than me.

Aerodude73 12-28-2011 05:00 PM

Hey Patrick - wow, private plane, beachfront house - must be nice!! Enjoy your New Year's festivities!!

I want to see that movie also
[Show spoiler]("Girl/Dragon Tattoo")
but might have to wait til' this Friday. About to pop in STAR WARS Episode Two shortly:whip:

phansson 12-28-2011 05:11 PM

Afternoon Aero, these are some really good friends of ours and it will be nice to have 5 days off in a row and nothing to do except sleep and drink.....

GWDT was really pretty good. The opening sequence is a Trent Reznor version of immigrant song. The speakers were not handling the volume very well and the treble was very "grating" on the ears. It totally sucks to be into AQ/PQ this much.

Lol - Yea we really do Listen to movies moreso than Joe theater-goer, huh? I've heard about Trent doing the soundtrack & look forward to seeing this movie.

I have Ep Two cued up on pause, about to start it in a couple mins.

WOW! The phansson's will be living high off the hog. That's pretty cool, amigo. Gotta drink in your hand and your toes in the sand.:shades: Remember to take a bunch of pics for us slumming it back here. Salud.http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/s...atdrink007.gif

I'm a really big fan of the original Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I wasn't planing on seeing the remake until I read all the good reviews on it.

I rip AQ/PQ when I am at the theater now. My wife even said last night that our HT is so much better than our local theaters. I was so proud....

I enjoyed the original myself and wasn't going to see the US version either. After going, I a glad now. It really was a good movie.

Yes, we will put a hurt on some drinks in Florida. It will be a good time.

That's like my AR-15. I see you didn't get the one with the hard scope. Did you pick up an attachment scope for it?

I love that rifle, talk about accurate, if point at it, you will hit it with that one.

I've been wanting one for about 2 years and finally just said F-It and picked one out today! Don't worry, it is for target shooting, not Aerosmith fan shooting!:D:D

I picked up one that had nothing on the top rail. I then picked up a front and back flip up sights and a red dot scope, extra 30 rd mag and a tactical sling. So I am excited and ready to go. It is a Stag Arms model, have you heard of them? I was a little nervous because it is a company I haven't heard of.
