Looking good benny. Let me know when we can come over and crack open a few beers.

spent 5 hours on sunday busting out the concrete next to the house. found a nice little hole in the foundation, thankfully it's not busted all the way through.....going to fix it 2morrow night.
this is also the slab that was slanting towards the house and when it rains really hard i'd get some water in the basement. this should hopefully fix that problem. here's what i've got till i get rid of the concrete 2morrow night. http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/8342/img9795u.jpg |
NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!
so we're almost done w/the siding on the house, the gutter guy comes 2morrow and not a day too soon!!! i go downstairs and w/the rain the last couple of days falling off the roof right next to the house, i had water in my basement on the north side of the house!!! i'm thinking when the gutters get on it will go back to normal....@ least i'm hoping!!! |
got home last night and our siding is done!!!! my long ass list of summer projects is finally done!!!
so here are some pix!! BEFORE :ohnoes: :bitenails: :panic: http://img30.imageshack.us/img30/9320/img9469t.jpg AND AFTER!!! :jawdrop: http://img160.imageshack.us/img160/287/img9919b.jpg |
Help me out guys!!!! I’ve started making my plan of attack for my basement remodel and this is where I plan on having everything as far as the HT is concerned.
http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/9033/img7993br4.jpg http://img159.imageshack.us/img159/i...jpg/1/w640.png tter HT experience when finished. I can’t decide if I just want a couch and chairs on the side or if I want to build a riser. The thing that’s making it hard for me to decide is I really don’t want to wall off any parts of the basement and I don’t know how I feel about having the back of a couch exposed on a riser. Any suggestions??? The tv will go where the A Man Apart Poster is. |
Excuse the crudeness of this “drawing”….I’m bored here @ work. This is to give an idea of what my basement is going to look like when it comes time to put in the HT equipment. As you can see, the back of any couch I put in will be exposed, I’m looking for ideas of how to clean this up so I just don’t have things up in the air in the middle of the room.
Anyone have any ideas??? I can't decide if I want the tv on th North wall or East wall within the red area. http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/3674/basementh.jpg |
I'll check it out tonight Benny, as most photos are blocked where I'm currently at :(

Check out Brain_Sturgeon's setup. He has his seating exposed with a riser.

I just fall in love with his set-up every time I see it! :inlove:

btw...your siding looks fantastic! what a house transformation! ! |
Yes...... Great work with the house!
I wouldn't mind having the sofa exposed on the riser, but that's just me.... if it bothers you, then perhaps build a half-wall/storage shelving behind the riser.... |
i'm gonna try to do some looking @ seating for a riser and see if i can narrow down what i'd want.
i love the idea of stadium seating but don't know if the wife will go for it!! :bitenails: |

I like the idea of a storage unit behind the couch as well. If the unit were only for BD's/DVD's/CD's it wouldn't take up much depth either.

new idea!!! again, this pic isn't to scale @ all. http://img689.imageshack.us/img689/3674/basementh.jpg what i'm considering now is to extend the wall and frame in the support poles and make the area where the bar is now it's own little room w/the HT equip. in it. the only thing holding me up on that idea is it obviously is separated from the rest of the entertainment area.....so for football games as an example, you'd have people in separate rooms. anyone have any comments on this at all??? |
Awesome work on the house. :)
