i plan on playing a crap ton of video games over the next 2 weeks. :rock: i grinded out 4-5 hours friday night after work. :banana:

recv'r didn't go into Dolby True-HD automatically though. :confused2:

Good morning BB. That is correct on TDK. As soon as the movie starts you have to select the HD soundtrack since it defaults to the lossy one instead.

yup... biggest pep peeve about older WB movies... it defaults to DD and no menu... grrrrr... I like the menus... okay for the discs encoded in PCM though, since PCM would default to 2 channel over anything other than HDMI whereas DolbyTrueHD defualts to DD... silly to have a separate track... but anyway I digress... have fun today BB

something i noticed about The Dark Knight....my mid's are acting like the surrounds. :confused2:

is that normal??

there's nothing coming from the back, it's like the movie moved the surround effects to the mid's instead of just putting something out to all 7 speakers. :shrug2:

I got used to PBR in college when the local CVS had a pricing error and were selling 30 packs for $3.99... we bought em out... repeatedly! And we were the only fraternity on campus that knew about it, it was MARVELLOUS!

hmmm... I would have assumed that the receiver would have taken care of that and just output the rear 2 channles to the back and the mids... thats kinda odd, but I don't know enough about 7.1 surround to really know what I'm talkin bout...

P.S. I can't do Molson or The High Life... oh man those are both just horrendous!

i just unplugged the mid connections and the recv'r didn't send the signal to the rears.

i plugged them back in and the mids were running the rear signal again. :shrug2:

i guess it doesn't matter, i'm still getting 5.1.

and all 7 speakers are working b/c i ran a test off of the recv'r and again w/the disney wow disc.

after the dark knight i'm gonna throw Transformers: DOTM and listen to the beginning and if all 7 work, i'll just chaulk it up to some weird thing w/an earlier bluray release.

time for the matrix!! :rock:
