Staying at home with the kids for a summer could be a blessing, especially considering what you pay for child care.

That iPad stuff with no teachers....can see the kids becoming experts at Fruit Ninja and Angry Birds!

it'll start out as an Assoc. Degree in Arts & Science and when that's done....if i think i can handle it....Electrical Engineering. :bitenails:

The cookouts sound cool IMO Benny. I only have 1 brother and he is 2 hours away. My wife has no brothers or sisters, so that doesn't leave a lot of family options for us to get together. Just ignore your brother in law and just keep telling him that your lil' Hibachi grill cooks better than his big grill.....maybe then he'll see your real meaning......that his girly mans HT is nothing compared to your HT!! :whip:

This is the brother in law on my wife’s side. This is her brother…..the one that hasn’t lifted a finger to help w/their mom @ all in the past 6 months.

Quick story. My mother in law started having trouble w/her vision. The dr. in our area didn’t know what was going on so he refer’d her to a dr. in Chicago which is about 5 hours from where we live.

My wife and her sister have been making the trips down there w/her for her appointments…..burning vacation, taking non-paid time, and being away from their families….b/c most of the time they had to stay over night before coming home. When asked if he could help and take her once or twice he said he was to busy!!! :banghead:

The guy is a lazy piece of sh!t. he hasn’t done anything to help out since their dad died in 2010. it’s all fallen on me and my other brother in law (my wife’s sister’s husband…I like him.) :D

Gotcha.......that is bullsh*t. I hope he is left out of a nice rewarding will some day.

It is rather crazy for me too, as my father-in-law passed away 2 months ago and he was the one who watched our kids for us. My wife is an only child too. However, my mother-in-law is extremely lazy. She was used to having him do all the cleaning, cooking, shopping, etc......while she just sat there. You want to know what is happening now.....yep, my wife is doing all of the same stuff he did while my mother-in-law keeps right on sitting there and watching TV. This means she is not at our house and thus, I have to do the cleaning, cooking, shopping for our family. We never have time alone now either, as her father-in-law was our baby sitter. So, I don't see much of my wife and haven't for the last 2 months....and there appears to be no end in sight......until either she does something or me!

Hi BB, I really enjoyed your choice of pics today. I sometimes am glad the wife and I have very few family members around. Both you and John have quite the :melodrama: regarding in laws. It's almost as if we need Rodney King to come back from the dead and ask "Can't we all get along?" :p

That sucks!!! Me & my wife got into it a bit @ 1st “b/c that’s my mom!!!” was the argument my wife was giving.

But now it’s been going on for so long….she’s over it and wants it to be done w/as well.

Luckily, a local dr. is willing to do the surgery after seeing her file. So instead of driving 5-6 hours, they only have to go about 30 min. :relief:

We’re hoping after the surgery, she’ll be able to see out of her 1 eye again.

looking @ the local job market in my area, i may consider switching from electrical engineering to mechanical engineering.

the assoc. degree is the same that i have to get to qualify for the engineering program....so no change there @ all. :relief:
