It’s been pretty muggy & warm here the past couple of days….yesterday and today i did something I don’t normally do….i rode the bike w/o wearing my jacket w/the armor plates in it.

I have a 13 mile ride to work everyday and don’t like riding that far w/o the jacket on b/c the roads I take are in deer country. :ohnoes:

When the weather is like this, that’s the only time I don’t wear it b/c it’s so uncomfortable….even @ 60-65 mph.

Hec, all I ever wear in temps above 70 is a t-shirt or tank top (yes, a wife beater ;) ), jeans and my boots....no jacket, helmet, etc......sometimes it isn''t just about the journey...it's about how you look gettin' there..... :D

I can justify not wearing the jacket from time to time….but I’ll always have a helmet on.

Once I guy one of these:

Wow….people are dropping like flies here @ work.

1 girl quit and her last day is today.

A lady is retiring and today is her last day.

One of the unit leaders (the person below the supervisors) found out he got the job he was aiming for @ a local sheriff’s dept., he will be gone in the next couple of weeks!!

My unit leader is fed up and is looking for a new job.

If we lose our contract, they may have to hire people just to get us to the end of the current one that we hold.

Good morning BB:rock:

Blu-Benny 07-02-2012 02:01 PM

Morning guys!!

I have mixed feelings about this past weekend. Saturday was awesome. went w/some friends and took the kids swimming all day. Then the kids got to ride a pony @ the end of the day…they had a blast!!!

And then yours truly rode a horse for the 1st time as well!!! :scared: I s/h/b a cowboy!! :D

But then there was the heat we’ve been having here in WI for the past week!!! :banghead:

My wife slept in the living room Friday night and last night. I actually slept in the basement Saturday night!!!

We have a/c but the 2nd level of our house gets so warm the a/c can’t keep it cool. And that’s where our bedroom is.

That stinks Benny. So, it sounds like you don't have central air, do you?

Hang in there.......as it looks like another rough week ahead.

Look at the bright side....you did get to ride a pony. :D

No, we have central air. It’s just that our 2nd level was added on at one point to function as an apartment. There was an older lady that owned our house and she didn’t want to live in a home so she added on the 2nd level so a family member could live w/her.

But when they added on the 2nd level (probably 25-30 years ago), they didn’t do everything the way it s/h/b done. The insulation is crap and just crammed in the rafters, the a/c & furnace lines up to the 2nd level were added onto existing runs so nothing gets up there.

I think I’m gonna have to cut a ridge vent into the roofline and then blow insulation in there up to the peak. :shrug2:

And yes....the next week is going to be terrible. we'll be sleeping in either the living room or basement for @ least the next week. :banghead:
