I'm very fond of that video, as well. All of his videos are fantastic.

I think he's a tremendous actor and I like a lot of his films, but he needs to chill out.

Come on guy seriously? The amount of money H-Wood throws at Cage o be
"kooky" is insane. Trying to justify why Cagebwould accept upwards of 15 million per film is laughable. Love Gone In 60 Seonds btw.....

Your argument is invalid, in that case.

December is a Criterion Collection month for me.

I have purchased up 4 CC movies this month so far.

1. M
2. Night of the Hunter
3. Videodrome
4. Cronos (Blind Buy)

The only CC Blu-rays I own so far are

1. Che
2. Crumb
3. Gomoorrah
4. The Man Who Fell To Earth
5. Seven Samurai
6. The Thin Red Line
7. Walkabout

I hope to buy a CC copy of The Third Man soon. In the next few months I will be renting via Netflix other Criterion Blu-rays and see if they belong in my collection or not. I sure wish The Devil & Daniel Webster would be announced soon.

I can't not dislike Bringing Out the Dead because it's Scorsese.

I LOVE that movie. I want a blu release soooooo badly. I doubt it will happen though. :(

Looks like the RHINO code for Criterion's webstore has finally expired.
Luckily I just snuck in my January pre order a few nights ago.
Unfortunately, I just got my $50 gift certificate and was looking to place my February order with it. Hopefully sometime within the next two months they will have another code offer.

Anyone know how to track standard shipping international orders from Barnes and Noble?

Still waiting for my Criterions to arrive in Australia

I finally got to see Sweet Smell of Success (for the first time) via a NetFlix rental. A very engaging film and some fine screenwriting...I can see this looking as good on BD as Paths Of Glory. Feb. 22 can't come soon enough!

Next up will be another Carol Reed film that I heard about here, but have never seen...The Fallen Idol...I'll try to squeeze it in this weekend, around BBS, Fantasia, and ALL the supplemental material on NOTH and others that I have not gotten to yet! ;)

I think you'll enjoy it just as much as I do, rkish. If you do enjoy it and wanted to add it to your collection, it shouldn't be too hard to find a CC copy at a decent price since it went OOP just this year.

Why would you say that? It made $32M at the Box-office, it has Cage, Goodman, Ving Rhames, Patricia Arquette, and Tom Sizemore in it.....

And it's a Scorcese film.... whether it's one of his best, worst, most "Average" etc, doesn't really matter.... it has built in sales potential.

How many times was it released on DVD?

Thanks CC! I just checked Amazon and there seems to be new and used copies available, if I wish to purchase it.

It is no coincidence, I'm afraid.

In fact, that "CC" also carries the crown/burden of the Criterion Collection empire.

What!!?? YOU'RE Capt. Crunch!? :p

Hey...I've got a question. I've seen this " F. W. Murnau Boxset BD" on DVDBeaver. If you already own the MoC versions of Sunrise and City Girl, is there any need to even consider this?
