So much stuff on t.v. tonight. All at the same time, the Office (Steve's last show), NFL Draft (Raiders might get back into the 1st round), and hopefully the Hawks beat the Magic tonight to advance in the NBA playoffs. Oh yeah, and then I heard there might be some wedding thing at 4:00 in the morning.

CC, they knew it was coming from you. They had to respond right away. Like I told you years ago, your influence is more vast than you could ever imagine on the internet....;)

SpiderBaby 04-28-2011 08:38 PM

Now CCfixx, ask them if they will release Out of the Blue since producers are wanting to put this out again. Do it! Do it now!

Has it already been "years"? My, how the time goes by so quickly.

Excuse me while I take a moment to reflect on all the good times that have been brought upon me by the wonder of the internet.

***cue video montage playing in the background of my mind with T.Rex's Ballrooms of Mars" playing over the video... I'm sitting at the computer with one hand on the mouse and the other hand... doing something else. Years of surfing the internet flash before my eyes, like... How To Make Love To Your Canine Companion (circa '97).***

Of all the people I've come across on the internet over the years, it's myself that I find most appealing. There are so many others that I could never thank. There is... only me. I am.

Baby steps, CG.

Your Dwight-like techniques will not work on me.

Well, yes :D--Was just poking fun at the new folks who want to buy Their First Criterion during the sale like a high-schooler buying his first car, and rush straight for the one title they most identify with the Criterion brandname.
(I mean, "M" isn't exactly a Busby Berkeley musical either, but at least it had Peter Lorre in it.)

And I'm not disputing that 7th is a "classic"; was just giving a few director-buff season-ticket hecklings about Bergman's subjective viewpoint:
Yes, yes, yes, Ingmar, we saw "Fanny & Alexander", and we know ALL about how your repressive Swedish-Protestant parents would beat you every day over the cranium with a six-pound copy of the King James while making you carry a wooden cross down main street; that doesn't singlehandedly condemn all of world religion to 13th-cty. medieval priests repressing innocent peasants with horror stories of death, guilt, and Man's Hopelessness....Sheesh, the Athie cliche's haven't been updated since Mark Twain.

I contacted Scanavo and they told me to contact Audio/Video Distributing. I e-mailed them a few months ago and they said they were getting a huge shipment in at the end of April.

About a week ago I sent a follow up e-mail to the same dude at Audio/Video Distributing. He basically said they already sold all of them to Sony. Now why would Sony use the Scanavo CBR-101 cases? I made sure we were on the same page and specifically told him I was looking for the clear cases Criterion uses for their Blu-ray releases. He confirmed they sold the lot to Sony.

:o

He said they were getting another shipment in 8 to 10 weeks, :ohnoes: I was hoping to buy some for myself and hopefully some for you guys.

T.Rex is f***ing awesome. Marc Bolan should get more U.S. acknowledgment. He isn't even in that crappy Rock n Roll "Hall of Fame". King of Glam Rock.

The Slider is my fav T.Rex album btw.

Trust me, I know. My big T.Rex/Marc Bolan phase was about 10 years ago but he remains one of the most under-appreciated tragedies of music.

Favorite album would be "Futuristic Dragon."

This is why you own the net...

Well, technically speaking I did buy the "internet" back around 1996. It was from around the same time that I received the e-mail concerning the fortune that I had inherited from my great uncle in the United Kingdom. If it weren't for the internet, I would've never known that I even had a great uncle living in the UK.

That is one of my all-time favorite T.Rex videos. Years ago when I had a MySpace account that video was posted on my page.

P.S. - For future reference, CG, the correct term would be lip-synching, not singing. I don't want you going around the internet making a fool of yourself now. ;)

octagon 04-28-2011 08:55 PM

America Lost and Found, Le Cercle Rouge, Kes and White Material showed up already.

High fives?

Anybody?
