Absolutely :D

My DVD release is the UK BFI disc. I was afraid there wouldn't be a blu-ray capable of beating it!

Today

Today, my copies of Sweet Smell of Success and The Killing/Killer's Kiss(along with a few other Blu's) should be arriving shortly. Too bad Paths of Glory won't arrive for another week or so.

Home On the Range?

It's clearly The 5 Cows.

Yay, my Island of Lost Souls has been dispatched :)

Maybe it's this:

There is some interesting discussion on twitter that it might be Tarr's Satantango:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0111341/

But at this point it seems to be only speculation.

Yeah, other possibilities would be La Haine, Virvidiana, and Grand Illusion.

That would be my most anticipated release of 2012 if announced . Criterion needs some serious Tarr and Satantango would be the best way to introduce him in the Collection.

They might as well do Werckmeister Harmonies, too.

Is there a film called "Her Ford won't Run Anymore"?

Darkcritic 10-25-2011 09:36 PM

Just something I recently noticed and wanted to point out for the laughs :D. Has anyone here noticed the "Criterion Blu-ray" sticker from Salo has a small label under saying "WARNING: EXPLICIT CONTENT"? Probably not that funny but I laughed pretty hard the first time I saw it.

I feel like it's impossible for anyone to buy it WITHOUT knowing about the content. Even one look at the cover art should pretty much give that away.

On another note, I hope to pick it up at the sale if they have it at my nearest location!

Funny story, I... acquired the movie a couple of years ago not knowing anything about the film other than some users saying 'How can anyone ever watch this!?!11?'

About an hour into the film, I understood what they were talking about.
