I'm not sure on the cartridge. I'll cross the bridge when the time comes. Cary CPA 1 is the preamp I'm getting as of next week or the following week. It matches up with my current amp the CAA 1. I'm saving up and paying off my current tuition/rest of my credit cards. If I good deal comes up on C2's or Sapphires I might get them someday.

The C2s are large speakers and flippin heavy, if you are planning on getting them, you won't be able to keep them in your bedroom. Im mean you could, but man that would be a lot of speaker for a bedroom.

you need to buy a house and put them up in a nice family/living room. When I heard the S5.4s the sound was big, really big, much bigger then your S3.4s, and they are about the same size as the C2s and larger then the Sapphires

Thanks Oliver. I hope you have a Merry Christmas and a great day tomorrow.

Did you see what I bought today.... and I have a $20 gift card from my wife for Best Buy, Im thinking either 2 CDs or The White Stripes Under Great Northern White Lights on vinyl..... not sure what to do yet. It will depend a lot on what I get tomorrow for Xmas from my little brother. I think they bought me Star Trek The Next Generation 4 pack on Blu-ray..... however I specifically asked for vinyl, so I am hoping they go me music.

Im almost thinking if not the White Stripes, then perhaps AC/DC Back In Black and King of Leon for CDs.... what do you think? Maybe Phil Colins Hits.....

Phil Collins Greatest Hits would be my choice altho I really love Back in Black :)

doesn't matter BB doesn't have $h!t there anyways..... I almost got the Pink Floyd DSOTM hybird SACD/CD, but the line went half way around the inside of the place, so I walked out. I think I want to get the Pink Floyd hybird disc and Pearl Jam Ten; the PJ has a dual disc that includes 1991s original CD and the new remasted version.

I have this CD. It's not very good sounding. Despite the "remastered" claim.

I wanted to get my dads original CD of The Joshua Tree, but it seems that my older brother has raided my dads collection long before I. I'll have to see if he will let me pick thru some of it, he doesn't listen to music anyways.

That sucks they did that, I will just have to find it on vinyl used, or a used CD at the local shop.

I believe your older brother has good taste in music and left you the Seal, Cher and Spice Girls album because he knows you're into that stuff! :rotfl:

I actually have both the original and remastered joshua tree CDs, I can't say I prefer one over the other as they are both sub par:rolleyes:

I love both of those albums wich ever you get you'Mll be very happy but I have to say DSOTM Hybrid is really nice. BTW I have the original recording from Pearl Jam Ten and it rocks and the recording is good this remastered thing is more often than not Bull *%$%

Joshua tree original still sounded like crap :p

I know so. unless you have the LP even there I don't find it to be a well recorded album.

You are being nice saying it like that as much as I love the album I think the recording is garbage.

I think the Joshua Tree was a great album, perhaps not the best recording, but a great set of songs. The Unforgettable Fire I actually prefer more then Joshua Tree, but I think they are U2s best albums.
