What's up Steve? One of my Panasonic bdp's has a misaligned laser again, the warranty is up now so to the recycling it goes. I'm going to use my PS3 for a couple of weeks and probably pick up an Oppo 93.

That would be a smart move, Horror stories over horror stories for Panasonic. You, Steve and many others having problems with them.

That sucks, but why am I not surprised?? I think Panasonic makes a nice home phone and a good plasma, but their BDPs are crap IMO. I am kinda bummed to that Oppo stopped making the $287 BDP-80, that would have been the perfect player for me. I don't need all the other BS and spend $500+ on a BDP.

To answer your question, My dealer has 3 integra's setup, I heard them all, one is the 50.1 which is what I heard the X16s on, the other is the 70.1 which he was trying to sell me, that had some Contour 3.4s and the C SX center channel with an amp connected, the other is an Integra DHC-80.2 which is their high-end pre-pro, he had that connected to amps of course, but I heard that one connected to Wilson Audio Maxx 3s and a center channel and some Wilson Duettes.

NO No, Im the only one that rides the roller coasters, my daughters are 7 and 4, my son is about 8 months, Mom stays with them while I ride the big rides, but the wife and I are going to go back on the 18th for a date day for our anniversary and leave the kids with my parents, we'll end up going on as many rides as possible.

OH, and that Timothy guy over at AVS deserved to be slammed.

I'm doing laundry. Might do some painting. I've got allergies going on big time (with my asthma/lungs...it's just like a cold and knocks me on my a$$). I'm going nowhere but my place this weekend and most weekends for awhile.

I was just giving you $hit at avs on Timothy. Hifisponge's comments actually kind of irked me with the "not to derail this thread..." comment. It was exactly derailing it and kind of a knock on dyn speakers in general. I felt like saying "well take it to XXXX speaker thread". I really don't care either way. No point in getting a rise over forum posts unless it is a personal attack. Mick sure took offense to Timothy's comments.

my point with Timmy... here is a guy that posts that he has a nice 55" LED 240hz TV that costs over $2k, and then slams others for them spending their disposable $$ on speakers. Hey, if someone has $$ to buy $20k speakers, then so be it, STFU. That guy I think was jealous because he wants Dyn speakers, be hes too f-ing cheap with his BICs and $100 sub.

How did you find out what he had? AVS thread isn't as user friendly as this one is. It is a lot more uptight/stiff there. I'm in the mood to be completely serious or find out Dynaudio speaker information I go there. Otherwise I'll dwell here on br.com.

I clicked on his name and it had the same as we have here, find other posts by Timothy91 and so I clicked, found his post on a thread called, post what gear you have, then went in to see what he had.... a really nice TV and $hitty speakers. It took me all of 5 minutes to do...

I mostly just surf there for something else to do... I don't post too much. I don't even think I have 75 posts. But I lurk alot. I just get bored here sometime.

I even stopped doing that over at AVS. That place generally just gives me the creeps.

How is CA these days? Ma said weather has been pretty gloomy lately in San Diego. Craving some Marie Calender's and Mexican food like you wouldn't believe. This was first year not back. When Ma visited, she brought some Phil's BBQ sauce, made some pork ribs and pulled pork while she was here last month. Miss the beef ribs at Phil's. Ever been to Phil's BBQ in SD?

CA has been up and down, it got up to 90 for 2 days, then down to 48 the following week.... tough to know what to wear sometimes. Mostly its been in the upper 70s. I have not been to Phils. That sucks you cant get any mexican.... I love mexican. there is this little carniceria over by one of my customers, I take him there for .50$ taco tuesdays once a month. I can't order cause my spanish isn't good enough... I can say "dos Carnitas Tacos y tres Carne Asada", and such... but there is more to it then that. However the tacos are big and very good tasting. Glad you got to see your mom, I know how that is when you get to see someone close like that after a while.

He found out he had it about 4 weeks ago.... it was very quick and unexpected. I lived with this guy in the Frat house for 3+ yrs, so he was rather close to me.

Sometimes Costco here carries flour tortillas and I get some pork loins and make some carnitas. Been a while. Actually think I have some freezer burnt tortillas in the fridge.:(

currently sitting in the near dark jammin out to the Foo Fighters new album. I think it sounds really good. They recorded it on Analog Tape as opposed to Digital. I think its a great sounding CD. Doesn't sound compressed or digital. Most of the songs rock on this CD also. I want to buy the LP also. I hear its 45 rpm, and I would love to compare the LP to the CD.

I haven't heard the Foo Fighters new album, the only one I have is the greatest hits. I just finished watching Tron Legacy again as I have to take it back to the video store tomorrow. I still don't see how you weren't totally impressed with the soundtrack, it may be the best soundtrack I've ever heard. My system is getting very close to where I want it to be, it sounded awesome tonight. I'm picking up the last of the new speakers tomorrow, the S1's are in. I'm a little nervous of running 7.1 again with just the AVR amps, I'll feel much better about pushing it with an external amp. As you know I bought some of these speakers used and may not always be able to get warranty repairs on them, the replacement drivers and tweeters are expensive. That's what makes me nervous, I never worried before because the replacement parts didn't cost nearly as much. I had some thoughts today about trying a Parasound Halo amp, I've always wanted to try one. I think when the time comes it'll come down to three choices, Anthem, Wyred 4 Sound or Parasound Halo. Which one would you choose?

Wow Foo Fighters, there is a name I haven't heard in years. Haven't listened to music in ages either. Need to try today.
